About FlashPCB
We assemble printed circuit boards in our office using innovative manufacturing techniques. We are looking to become the fastest and easiest to use PCB assembly shop in the US. We are growing and always looking for ways to improve the manufacturing process. We are a small team that works out of the same building as NextFab in Philly's Kensington neighborhood. We are a short walk from the Berks station on the Market–Frankford Line.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Philadelphia, PA for a Manufacturing Engineer at FlashPCB. The role involves overseeing manufacturing processes, programming our assembly line machines, optimizing production techniques, and developing solutions to improve speed, reduce costs, and ensure quality control. The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate with leadership and the technician team to design, implement, and improve manufacturing workflows, schedule equipment maintenance and upgrades, and troubleshoot issues to mitigate production delays. This role also includes creating documentation, monitoring performance, and adhering to safety and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Ability to lead a team of technicians
- Experience programming SMT assembly equipment
- Experience working in electronics manufacturing
- Strong computer proficiency
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Prior experience in a similar manufacturing or production environment is highly desirable
