The Quality Engineer provides hands‑on quality oversight across all phases of data center construction. This role ensures that all work is performed in accordance with design intent, specifications, industry standards, and client expectations. The Quality Engineer maintains rigorous documentation, drives continuous improvement, and collaborates closely with construction managers, engineers, and subcontractors to deliver a world‑class facility.
Core Responsibilities
- Maintain, organize, and control technical documentation, submittals, and quality records.
- Research specifications and verify that field‑installed work aligns with design and engineering requirements.
- Track quality KPIs, analyze trends, and recommend improvement actions to project leadership.
- Ensure full compliance with client quality standards, reporting requirements, and audit procedures.
- Review, evaluate, and validate TSQMP (Trade-Specific Quality Management Plan) deliverables across all trades.
- Conduct ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud) platform audits to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
- Lead nonconformance investigations, root‑cause analyses, and corrective action tracking through closure.
- Partner with construction managers, engineers, safety teams, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues quickly and effectively.
- Support development and reinforcement of quality culture across project teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in quality engineering, construction quality control, or related roles—preferably within data center, mission‑critical, or large‑scale industrial construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and QA/QC processes.
- Experience with ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud) or similar construction documentation systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead root‑cause analysis, manage nonconformance reports, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret engineering and architectural drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working cross‑functionally with field teams, engineers, clients, and subcontractors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with data tracking, dashboards, and quality KPI reporting.
- Ability to identify trends, propose improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with industry quality frameworks (ISO, LEAN, FMEA, etc.) is a plus.
- Ability to work on active construction sites and maintain strong safety awareness.
