Job Description

Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Plant Manager in Bensalem, PA area!


Responsibilities:

  • Lead day‑to‑day plant operations, including production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and warehouse functions
  • Ensure manufacturing output meets quality, cost, delivery, and efficiency targets
  • Develop and execute operational plans aligned with company goals
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high‑performing management and supervisory team
  • Promote a culture of safety, compliance, continuous improvement, and employee engagement
  • Ensure full compliance with FDA regulations, cGMPs, NSF, and other applicable nutraceutical standards
  • Partner closely with Quality Assurance to maintain audit readiness and regulatory compliance
  • Support internal and external audits, inspections, and corrective action plans
  • Ensure proper documentation, batch records, and traceability practices
  • Provide strong engineering leadership for equipment selection, process optimization, automation, and plant upgrades
  • Oversee capital projects, facility expansions, and new equipment installations
  • Drive process improvements to increase throughput, yield, and reliability
  • Collaborate with R&D and Quality on process scale‑up and validation
  • Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance programs are effective
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement initiatives
  • Analyze KPIs related to safety, quality, productivity, downtime, and cost
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or compliance
  • Improve OEE, waste reduction, and material utilization
  • Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations
  • Champion safety programs, training, and incident prevention
  • Lead investigations and corrective actions for safety incidents


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field) required
  • 7–10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, including plant or operations management
  • Direct experience in nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, food, or regulated consumer products
  • Strong working knowledge of FDA regulations and cGMP requirements
  • Demonstrated success leading engineering‑driven process improvements
  • Proven ability to manage cross‑functional teams and complex operations
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Experience scaling operations or supporting rapid growth environments
  • Strong technical and engineering problem‑solving skills
  • Strategic and hands‑on leadership approach
  • Excellent communication and decision‑making abilities
  • Data‑driven mindset with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to balance compliance, efficiency, and cost control
