Purpose of the Position

We are seeking a Vice President of Operations and Engineering to lead our North American production, engineering, and logistics footprint. This leader will drive our localization strategy, focusing on the localization of manufacturing and engineering to serve our key regional focus markets, which include MedTech, Aerospace and Defense, Infrastructure, and Automotive Production. The role will build operational excellence across our footprint, deliver strong connection to customers, and ensure scalable capacity as the market grows.

Main Tasks

• Lead the implementation of the localization strategy, focusing production and engineering for North American focus markets.
• Oversee Operations, including logistics, planning, purchasing, assembly and the machine shop.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Engineering, including Custom Product Engineering, Application Engineering, and R&D interfaces.

• Provide strong, presence-based leadership at the Amherst site, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with Sales Directors and the General Manager to maintain proximity to customers and align operations with commercial priorities.

Requirements Profile

• Experienced Operations and Engineering leader with a successful track record in complex industrial or high-precision environments.

Our client specializes in manufacturing industrial machinery and equipment for customers in a variety of sectors. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer at their site near Buffalo, NY. This is an onsite position that is involved with the development, design and complete engineering definition of products for fabrication in conjunction with sales proposals and customer input, satisfying customer needs.

The Role

The Mechanical Design Engineer will oversee knowledge of the project specific engineering schedule, and also mitigate potential issue with the schedule and any conflicts or delays to the supervisor.

Requirements

• Strong Mechanical Design experience in a full time role within a similar industry sector.

Purpose of the Position

(KIC) Production Facility. The manufacturing engineer develops and troubleshoots manufacturing processes in order to improve product quality, cost, and/or lead-time. Main Tasks

• Provides technical support and improve manufacturing lines by specifying and/or refining BOMs, routings, work instructions, and test procedures.
• Design, document, procure, qualify, implement, and improve fixtures, tools and equipment.

• Troubleshoot day-to-day process performance issues, develop solutions, and monitor improvements.

Position Summary:

Are you an experienced application developer passionate about creating impactful technology solutions? Securian Financial is seeking an Engineering Senior Analyst with 2-4 years of proven application development experience, specifically skilled in Java, Mainframe, and Informatica, to join our Life & Annuity Actuarial Systems Technology team. As a crucial member of our agile scrum team, you'll innovate, optimize data processing, and support critical actuarial systems, leveraging a diverse technology stack including AWS, Spring, SQL Server, and Oracle.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Own critical business application support, promptly resolving complex production issues to ensure reliable and efficient operations.
• Drive modernization initiatives such as Application Rationalization and migration to AWS, significantly enhancing our systems' capabilities and performance.
• Become a subject matter expert in Individual Life and Annuity business processes, influencing strategic decisions and technical planning.
• Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and alignment.
• Lead and execute projects through detailed analysis, thoughtful design, robust development, rigorous testing, seamless integration, and successful implementation.
• Encourage innovation and creativity through a proactive test-and-learn approach, contributing actively to continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of proven professional experience in application development.
• Extensive experience (3+ years) in Java development, particularly using Spring and Spring Batch frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to tackle and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, thriving in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong expertise in Mainframe systems and Informatica ETL tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in system design and analysis.
• Expertise in Mainframe systems and Informatica ETL tools.
• Previous exposure to actuarial systems or financial services technology environments.

#LI-Hybrid **This position will have a hybrid working arrangement, working in-office for a minimum of 3 days a week.**
