Position Summary:

The Commissioning Engineer is responsible for the commissioning of hardware and software to customer specifications. This is a field support position reporting to the Service Manager. This position may also require oversight/management and site supervision to meet the project goals and schedules. He or she must work closely with the individual site teams to ensure that installations are complete, ready for startup, and the necessary resources and plans are in place for a successful startup and launch. The position requires travel and possibly extended stays at the job site(s).

  • Debug controls, hardware, and software
  • Record baseline data
  • Mark up drawing changes
  • Project performance and data collection

  • Support selection and controls of suppliers and Purchased Equipment vendors
  • Assist with installation supervision as needed

Qualifications:

  • Computing/programming experience: PLC, HMI, Windows, and Office Suite
  • Familiar with basic electrical and mechanical engineering principles

Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an engineering discipline such as Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or a closely related field At least seven years of progressive experience supporting and managing water and/or wastewater engineering projects Strong understanding of treatment processes, hydraulic principles, and permitting or regulatory coordination Working knowledge of structural design fundamentals, applicable codes, and compliance requirements Proficiency in computer-aided design tools and common engineering software platforms Demonstrated ability to independently assess engineering challenges and apply established methods and standards Proven capability to collaborate across teams and locations, balancing technical and interpersonal communication Experience working directly with clients and supporting long-term professional relationships Exposure to business development activities within the water or wastewater sector Participation in technical committees, industry groups, or professional associations is preferred Interested in hearing more?
