What You Will Do

• Serve as Product Owner for the team, owning the backlog, prioritizing work, and ensuring alignment with program objectives and delivery commitments
• Work with the Scrum Master to plan and execute Agile meetings, including sprint planning and Program Increment (PI) execution, to deliver high-quality, cloud-enabled capabilities on schedule
• Coordinate delivery and selloff of completed work to customers, ensuring technical acceptance and stakeholder satisfaction

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and a minimum 8 years of related work experience
• Experience with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of RedHat Linux operating systems
• Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and/or Chef
• Experience with CI/CD concepts and toolchains (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, GitLab, Artifactory, Helm) from a user and integrator perspective

Qualifications We Prefer

A fast-growing data and AI consulting firm based in Dallas is looking to hire an experienced Data Architect to help design and deliver modern data platforms for enterprise clients. This role will focus on building next-generation data solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric and Databricks, supporting organizations as they modernize legacy data environments and adopt cloud-native architectures.

About the Role

This is a highly visible role working closely with delivery teams and client stakeholders to architect scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the implementation of modern data platform architectures using Microsoft Fabric and Databricks
• Define end-to-end data architecture across ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics layers
• Architect Lakehouse and data warehouse solutions to support enterprise-scale analytics and AI initiatives
• Work directly with client stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Guide engineering teams through best practices for data engineering, governance, and platform performance
• Support modernization efforts, migrating legacy data platforms into cloud-native data environments
• Collaborate with delivery leadership on data strategy, platform roadmaps, and solution design

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Data Architect within modern cloud data environments
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and/or Databricks platforms
• Experience designing Lakehouse architectures and modern analytics platforms
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data integration, and distributed data processing frameworks
• Experience working within Azure-based data ecosystems
• Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and guide technical delivery teams

SUMMARY

Develop and maintain high quality client relations through sales, project management and personnel management. Ensure that environmental permitting and compliance projects are completed correctly, on time and budget, and that quality projects are made available for the assigned team. Experience in air dispersion modeling or water/waste permitting and compliance is a plus!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Monitor, verify, and ensure the technical accuracy and quality of project related work.
2. Guide staff in manner that allows for efficient progress and timely completion of consulting projects within the established budget.
3. Coordinate efforts of project team to ensure timely completion of project, invoicing review, and maintaining project budgets.
4. Maintain business development relationships through sales calls and professional networking.
5. Promote client stewardship by being attentive to the needs of existing clients and by encouraging consultant staff to look for business opportunities with clients.
6. Develop sales proposals for existing and prospective clients.
7. Identify new marketing opportunities and assist business development staff with appropriate literature development, communication, and follow-up.
8. Attend and present papers at conferences, and prepare regulatory updates and present luncheon seminars.
9. Communicate with staff the decisions/goals of management so that the staff can help adhere to company goals while meeting personal goals.
10. Ensure proper utilization and billing of consulting staff.
11. Monitor and evaluate employees' performance of goals and performance standards continuously.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises 1-3 employees in Environmental Consulting. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental/Civil Engineering, and or related Atmospheric/Environmental Science from four-year college or university; and at least two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have regulatory, industry, and technical knowledge relating to permit applicability, emission inventories, air dispersion modeling, and federal and state permitting requirements.

Must have computer literacy, including basic programming word processing, spreadsheet skills, and knowledge of Microsoft office software package.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
