We are looking for a hands-on Systems Administrator to join our engineering-driven team in Los Angeles. In this role, you will manage a hybrid environment that includes both on-premise infrastructure and Microsoft 365/Azure cloud services. You will work closely with our engineering and operations teams to ensure our systems are secure, scalable, and high-performing.

Comp: $120k - $150k

What You Will Do

• Infrastructure Management: Design and maintain on-prem servers (Windows/Linux), storage, networking, and virtualization.
• Cloud Administration: Optimize M365 and Azure services, including Intune, Azure AD, and Exchange.
• Security & Monitoring: Manage identity access and endpoint compliance; set up alerting systems (Datadog, Splunk, or Azure Monitor).
• Engineering Support: Maintain high-performance desktops and simulation clusters (CAD/CAM/CFD) to ensure maximum uptime.
• Automation: Streamline workflows and system provisioning using PowerShell or Python.
• Process Improvement: Help develop IT service management (ITSM) processes for incident and change management.

What You Bring

• Experience: 5+ years in System Administration or a similar technical role.

Who we are looking for:

You will primarily provide engineering support on drinking water, wastewater, recycled water, and water resources projects. This position offers the opportunity to direct and collaborate with a team of junior and mid-level staff while providing the ability to consistently work with mid- and senior-level technical staff and leadership across the organization. The ideal candidate is a technically focused individual with strong experience in evaluating, planning, designing, and constructing drinking water and wastewater infrastructure and systems and experienced in engaging with client stakeholders such as operators, superintendents, and public officials to understand how to support their needs. Familiarity with a broad range of issues related to master planning, treatment, distribution, and collection systems is preferred. You will lead the technical delivery of multiple projects, must be familiar with local and federal regulations, and be able to support marketing and proposal efforts.

What You Will Need To Succeed:

10-15 years of engineering experience.

A B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or an M.S. Degree is preferred.

Registered Professional Engineer in California

The successful candidate will have technical and project delivery expertise in civil and environmental engineering and an in-depth understanding of the engineering concepts associated with all types of municipal water and wastewater systems, including water supply and treatment processes and distribution and collection systems infrastructure.

Knowledgeable in state bidding laws and funding programs.

We are looking for an experienced leader in experimentation methodology to join our core Applied ML team. The Applied AI and Machine Learning team handles large-scale data to support many business areas. We develop a cohesive navigation experience across channels and web pages. Our goal is to simplify and improve the shopping experience for everyday entrepreneurs worldwide, helping them quickly find what they need on our website.

In this leadership role, you will enhance the strategic direction of our experimentation methodology efforts. You will use simulations and reinforcement learning, ensuring consistency with business objectives, and supporting cross-functional teams in data-informed experimentation solutions. You will guide teams working at the intersection of large-scale foundation models, multi-agent systems, and RL-based optimization, encouraging a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.

What you'll get to do...

• Define and drive the strategic roadmap for AI driven experimentation methodology, aligning initiatives with organizational goals and business impact
• Supervise and mentor teams of scientists and engineers, providing technical guidance and career development
• Promote meticulous experimentation, including the development of simulation environments and robust evaluation frameworks using machine learning and RL
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to translate research outcomes into scalable, production-ready experimentation solutions

Your experience should include...

• 3+ years of professional experience managing and leading high-performing teams, including mentoring and coaching team member to achieve organizational goals
• 5+ years of professional experience in experimentation methodology, Reinforcement Learning, and software development 
• 2 + years of professional with experimentation platforms, data pipelines, and analytical tools to guide methodological rigor
• A deep understanding of statistical principles, causal inference, and experimental design for large-scale digital products
• A track record of partnering effectively with experimentation platform teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to drive data-informed decision-making
• 5+ years of professional experience translating complex statistical concepts into actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences
• The ability to define and implement a vision for experimentation best practices across diverse product areas

• Master's in computer science or equivalent quantitative fields
