Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Precision Solenoid Valve Products

I’m currently working with a highly respected precision manufacturer that is looking to add a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to their team in Westbrook, Connecticut.

This role supports the production and continuous improvement of miniature solenoid valve products used in highly demanding applications.

The engineer in this position will play a key role in developing and improving manufacturing processes, supporting new product introductions, and driving process improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, and reliability.

While this position does not include direct supervisory responsibility, it does require strong technical leadership and the ability to influence cross-functional teams across engineering, quality, and operations.

Key areas of focus include:

• Manufacturing process development and optimization

• Supporting new product introductions and process transfers

• Root cause analysis and troubleshooting of production challenges

• Continuous improvement of yield, quality, and throughput

• Collaboration with engineering and operations teams to implement process improvements

Ideal background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or similar

• 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience

• Experience supporting precision components, electromechanical assemblies, or fluid control products

• Strong hands-on problem-solving and process improvement skills

Position Summary:

The Project Manager shall oversee total construction effort to ensure projects are safely constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. This includes interfacing with client representatives, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Responsibilities:

• Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near-misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety first, in everything we do.
• Review project features with the Estimating Department.
• Work with the Project Engineer and Superintendent to develop and maintain a project schedule with the appropriate attributes.
• Submit preliminary paperwork such as submittals, introductory letters, subcontractor approvals, lump sum breakdowns of work items, affirmative action documents, etc.
• Develop a submittal log, a project organization chart, and a material storage plan.
• Initiate project startup and closeout sheet and submit a copy to the construction department and set up and maintain project files.
• Required to sign off on the budget prior to the start of construction.
• Responsible for all aspects of cost management for the project.
• Submit a quarterly cost revision with an explanation of any cost variance.
• Submit change order logs to the regional office monthly.
• Coordinate and direct all project activities with the Project Superintendent/General Superintendent to ensure that all milestones are met and job continuity is maintained.
• Conduct weekly meetings.
• Prepare and review periodic estimates with the owner's representative/Resident Engineer and submit an approved original estimate or pencil sheet copy to the regional office with the appropriate subcontractor quantity split.
• Attend final punch list inspection and/or closeout meeting and complete final documents.
• Maintain contact with the project Owner and Architect/Engineer to obtain reduction of retainage and final payment and close out jobsite office.

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Civil Engineering major or construction related field.
• Minimum of 10 years experience preferably in heavy highway civil construction.
• Experience with software such as HeavyJob, HeavyBid, Procore, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, BIM, and Fieldwire is preferred.
• OSHA 10 Certified.

Position Summary:

As a Quality Control Technician, you will play a critical role in the overall leadership and successful and timely delivery of complex multimillion-dollar fast-track, complex heavy-civil, highway, and bridge projects from the pre-construction stage through project execution and completion.

Responsibilities:

• Comply with and actively promote all Safety policies and procedures, including reporting accidents, incidents, and near-misses to uphold the company's core value of "Safety first."
• Actively participate in overall day-to-day operational leadership and decision-making as the subject matter expert for all project quality management functions, including self-performed work, materials, or work performed by suppliers, vendors, subcontractors.
• Provide ongoing and regular quality control-related technical input for construction planning, interpretation of design, development of efficient construction methods, and quality control processes for execution of the work.
• Manage and schedule all required quality testing, inspections and documentation including all third-party quality control related services.
• Manage the quality processes required per contract documents, specifications, drawings, engineering calcs for work activities such as crane/hoisting lifts, temporary works, falsework, shoring, formwork, safety systems, etc.
• Provide overall leadership to ensure work is constructed in compliance and work quality is accurately documented through clear and traceable record keeping and reporting.
• Develop and implement project specific Quality Control Plan that meets company policies, project requirements and is aligned with industry standards and best practices. Perform periodic audits to verify adherence to QA/QC Management Plan.
• Develop a comprehensive working knowledge of project contract documents, (drawings and specifications, and requirements by reference, etc.
• Maintain applicable industry reference standards and facilitate project access to relevant team members.
• Develop and implement a project Quality Control orientation program to ensure project team members are familiar with the requirements of the project QC Management Plan, and conduct to relevant project specific training, relative to Quality Control roles, responsibilities, processes, and procedures.
• Contribute to interpretation and dissemination and communication of project quality control requirements to relevant, staff including field crews and craft supervision.
• Assist in document management to ensure all project documents are updated and current to reflect any changes, revisions, etc.
• Assist in the procurement, buy-out, and management of subcontractors, suppliers/vendors to ensure subcontract /vendor agreements capture required quality related scope of work.
• Prepare and submit accurate Quality Control project status project reports.
• Manage project submittal process to ensure timely receipt, review and approval of submittals and shop drawings, as-builts, and other required documentation.
• Actively participate in RFI process to ensure timely receipt, review, response close out.
• Monitor project work for any non-compliance issues and ensure corrective measures are approved, executed and closed out with documented acceptance.
• Manage project close-out including, timely management of punch list, commissioning, and transitional system operations turnover.

Qualifications:

• Four-year engineering or construction management degree or equivalent combination of technical training and relevant experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of documented experience performing in a construction quality control management role on a heavy civil construction rail project.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction industry practices and standards, as well as experience with supervision, estimating, scheduling, budget preparation, and project status reporting.
• Experience utilizing project management software systems.
• Currently possess or can attain the NETTCP Quality Assurance Technologist and USACE Construction Quality Manager Certification.
• Heavy-Civil construction experience.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Test Engineer with experience in hardware systems and embedded firmware environments. This role focuses on validating the functionality, reliability, and performance of electronic products through structured test development and execution. The ideal candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support product quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Test Development & Validation

• Create and implement structured test plans, procedures, and scripts to verify hardware and firmware requirements.
• Perform functional, performance, and reliability testing on embedded systems and electronic assemblies.

Automation & Tools Development

• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for electronic systems.

Required Qualifications

• Working knowledge of analog and digital circuits, including amplifiers, switching circuits, regulators, filters, and I/O interfaces.
• Hands-on experience with common lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and signal generators.
• Experience with schematic capture tools, CAD platforms, and integrated development environments.
• Proficiency in embedded firmware development using C/C++.

We are looking for an experienced leader in experimentation methodology to join our core Applied ML team. The Applied AI and Machine Learning team handles large-scale data to support many business areas. We develop a cohesive navigation experience across channels and web pages. Our goal is to simplify and improve the shopping experience for everyday entrepreneurs worldwide, helping them quickly find what they need on our website.

In this leadership role, you will enhance the strategic direction of our experimentation methodology efforts. You will use simulations and reinforcement learning, ensuring consistency with business objectives, and supporting cross-functional teams in data-informed experimentation solutions. You will guide teams working at the intersection of large-scale foundation models, multi-agent systems, and RL-based optimization, encouraging a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.
