  • Number of beds on unit: 43
  • Patient population (age, diagnosis, specifics about unit): NT7 is 43- bed unit specializing in the care of acute and chronic digestive surgical patients. We are a bariatric certified unit by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Surgical patients on this unit includes trunk trauma patients, as well high acuity surgical advance care patients. We care for patients with surgical intervention needs from Oral Maxillary Facial Surgery (OMFS) traveling through to Colon Rectal Surgeries. With Carle being a level trauma center most regional trauma patients will be admitted to this unit.
  • Nurse to Patient ratio: 1:4-6 for surgical/medical patients and 1:3 with surgical advanced care patients
  • Department culture and resources: North Tower 7 is a high acuity critical thinking unit that extensively collaborates with the surgical residents and attendings. No previous professional experience is required to apply to this role, however, working on this project will require you to pass the basic requirements and go through a standard assessment process. This is a part-time long-term project and your work will be subject to our standard quality assurance checks during the term of this agreement.

Assessment

In order to be hired into the program, you’ll take an open book qualification exam that will determine your suitability for the position and complete ID verification. What you need to have to be considered

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Sciences, Computer Science, or a related field (post‑graduate degree a plus).
  • 5–6 years of experience in software development, architecture delivery, or technical product ownership.
  • 5–6 years of experience motivating and influencing technical or business teams as a lead.
  • 5–6 years of experience within the healthcare payer industry.
