- Number of beds on unit: 24
- Patient population (age, diagnosis, specifics about unit): The Advanced Care Unit is a 24-bed unit specializing in the care of acutely unstable patients that do not meet criteria for Intensive Care status but still require frequent, advanced assessments and interventions. Specific patient populations or conditions that require Advanced Care status include complex multi-trauma, uncompensated sepsis, continuous non-invasive ventilation, stroke, complicated withdrawal from alcohol or other recreational drugs, and DKA. The unit also includes an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) where patients with seizure-like events can be safely taken off medication to purposefully induce seizure-like events and provide vital information to the Epilepsy Team about how to treat them.

- Department culture and resources: The Advanced Care Unit is a fast-pace, team-oriented unit. We work closely with our physician partners and ancillary team members to achieve the best outcomes for our patients. We have a robust Partnership Committee that meets monthly. We have a unit-based educator, a quality outcomes coordinator, 2 nurse supervisors and charge nurses.
- Frequent nursing skills/equipment used: Minimum Q4 hour full RN assessments. Minimum Q2 hour vital signs. Continuous cardiac monitoring by primary RN, Foley/IV/NG insertions, arterial line/central line/chest tube monitoring and care, IV pumps, feeding pumps, lift equipment. Comprehensive Medical Physicist in Radiation Oncology, Interventional Radiology and Hospital Radiation Safety is responsible for performing all medical physics tasks necessary for the safe and accurate delivery of therapeutic ionizing radiation in collaboration with the radiation oncologists, interventional radiology, and staff of Carle Foundation Hospital. Comprehensive Medical Physicist in Radiation Oncology, Interventional Radiology and Hospital Radiation Safety will be responsible for maintaining State and Federal regulatory requirements specific to the practice of radiation therapy and radiation safety at Carle Foundation Hospital. Comprehensive Medical Physicist in Radiation Oncology, Interventional Radiology and Hospital Radiation Safety provides physics support for the following four (4) hospital units at Carle Health in Urbana: (1) Carle Cancer Institute and is responsible for quality control of all three linear accelerators in the radiation oncology department; (2) Interventional Radiology for intravascular administration of Y-90 radioactive therapy for patients with liver metastases; (3) Hospital Safety Department working with radiation safety officer on implementing all radiation safety measure for the entire hospital. Those measures are appropriate utilization of radiation safety precautions by hospital staff, proper dose monitoring in radiation exposure areas of the hospital, and proper licensing of all providers who are authorized users (AU) of radiation sources in the State of Illinois. (4) Comprehensive Medical Physicist will also provide radiation safety service for proper therapy of patients with brain tumors with radioactive seeds (Gamma Tile Cs-131) treated in Neurosurgery Department at Carle. He/she will create and monitor clinical quality indicators and collaborates with physicians to ensure appropriate treatment guidelines are utilized and monitored.

platform engineering, data governance, data science, IT security, and business
stakeholders to deliver highquality, reliable, and secure data products. This
role contributes to AMA's modern lakehouse architecture, optimizing data
operations, and embedding governance and quality standards into engineering
workflows. This role serves as a
senior technical contributor within the team-providing mentorship to junior
engineers and implementing engineering best practices within the data platform function,
in alignment with architectural direction set by leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Engineering & AI Enablement
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and
ETL/ELT workflows supporting analytics, operational reporting, and AI/ML use
cases. - Implement best practice patterns for ingestion,
transformation, modeling, and orchestration within a modern lakehouse
environment (e.g., Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Data Lake). - Develop highperformance
data models and curated datasets with strong attention to quality, usability,
and interoperability; create reusable engineering components and automation. - Collaborate with the Architecture Team, the Data
Platform Lead, and federated IT teams to optimize storage, compute, and
architectural patterns for performance and costefficiency. - Build model-ready data sets and feature
pipelines to support AI/ ML use cases; serve as a technical coordination point
supporting business units' AI-related infrastructure needs. - Collaborate with data scientists and AI Working
Group to operationalize models responsibly and maintain ongoing monitoring
signals.
Governance, Quality & Compliance
- Embed data governance, metadata standards,
lineage tracking, and quality controls directly into engineering workflows;
ensure technical implementation and alignment within engineering workflows. - Work with the Data Governance Lead and business
stakeholders to operationalize stewardship, classification, validation,
retention, and access standards. - Implement privacybydesign and securitybydesign
principles, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory
obligations. - Maintain documentation for pipelines, datasets,
and transformations to support transparency and audit requirements.
Platform Reliability, Observability & Optimization
- Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline failures,
performance bottlenecks, data anomalies, and platformlevel issues. - Implement observability tooling, alerts,
logging, and dashboards to ensure endtoend reliability. - Support cost governance by optimizing compute
resources, refining job schedules, and advising on efficient architecture. - Collaborate with the Data Platform Lead on
scaling, configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, and environment management. - Collaborate with business units to understand
data needs, translate them into engineering requirements, and deliver
fit-for-purpose data solutions; share and apply best practices and emerging
technologies within assigned initiatives. - Work with IT Security and Legal/ Compliance to
ensure platform and datasets meet risk and regulatory standards.
Staff Management
- Lead, mentor, and provide management oversight
for staff. - Responsible for setting objectives, evaluating
employee performance, and fostering a collaborative team environment. - Responsible for developing staff knowledge and
skills to support career development.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience and HS diploma/equivalent education required.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering within cloud environments
- Experience in people management preferred.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with modern data platforms (Databricks preferred).
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data
transformation frameworks. - Experience designing and operationalizing
ETL/ELT pipelines, orchestration workflows (Airflow, Databricks Workflows), and
CI/CD processes. - Solid understanding of data modeling,
structured/unstructured data patterns, and schema design. - Experience implementing governance and quality

We are seeking skilled Make-Ready Designers (primary focus) and Power Distribution Designers to support engineering programs for major electric and telecom utilities. Ideal candidates bring demonstrated experience in overhead utility pole design, NESC application, clearance assessment, pole loading analysis, and construction package development. Useful design platforms include DDS, Katapult, O-Calc, GIS, MicroStation, AutoCAD, or client-specific drafting systems.
In this role, you will review field/walkout data, evaluate existing attachment conditions, model pole loading, determine make-ready requirements, and prepare accurate construction-ready deliverables.
