Project Management Office (PMO) Manager

Department: Project Management

Reports To: Managing Director

Location: On-site – Germantown, WI (no hybrid or remote option)

Position Summary

The Project Management Office (PMO) Manager oversees the development, implementation, and governance of project management standards, tools, and methodologies supporting physical product development in a manufacturing environment. This role leads a team of project managers and engineers, supports a PMO that is still being built, and plays a key role in shaping project governance, processes, and structure across the organization.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited for a project management professional with experience in manufacturing, plastics, or engineered products, rather than IT or software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support project managers and engineers responsible for physical product development and tool build projects, not IT or software implementations
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve PMO tools, templates, and systems to enhance project planning, reporting, resource management, and operational efficiency
• Build and mature PMO processes, governance, and structure, supporting an organization where the PMO is still evolving
• Establish and maintain project management methodologies aligned with manufacturing and product development lifecycles
• Oversee project intake, prioritization, resourcing, and governance to ensure alignment with business and operational objectives
• Monitor project performance using KPIs, dashboards, and automated tools, providing regular updates to leadership
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and leadership teams to identify gaps, improve execution, and implement best practices
• Facilitate project reviews, risk assessments, and issue escalation to ensure successful delivery of complex projects
• Provide training and coaching to project managers and teams on tools, processes, and methodologies
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, budgeting procedures, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• Proven experience supporting manufacturing or product development environments, managing projects tied to physical products
• Experience building or improving PMO tools, dashboards, workflows, or systems (e.g., Power BI, Excel automation, Smartsheet, Jira, MS Project, or similar)
• Strong people leadership experience, including managing, coaching, and developing project managers or engineering-focused teams
• Demonstrated ability to bring structure to complex, evolving environments and drive adoption of new processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Advanced knowledge of project lifecycle management, risk mitigation, resource planning, and change management

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification
• Experience in plastics manufacturing, injection molding, or engineered product environments
• Experience managing or supporting tool build and product launch projects

What it takes?

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering or related field, 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination

This is an on-site position, Monday- Friday. Per Diems will be provided for travel.

This role will be instrumental in developing and managing schedules, analyzing project performance, and driving proactive solutions to keep high-profile projects on track.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and management of detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 (or similar scheduling software).
• Provide expert-level analysis on schedule performance, risks, and recovery strategies.
• Prepare executive-level reports and presentations for clients and senior leadership
• Oversee time-impact analysis, delay claims, and schedule mitigation planning.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, construction managers, and clients to ensure schedule alignment and transparency.
• Mentor and support junior schedulers and project team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of construction scheduling experience, with proven expertise in mission-critical projects (data centers strongly preferred).
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and other scheduling tools.
• Deep understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies, and resource planning.

Design Engineer –

About the Role

This is a hands-on Design Engineer opportunity supporting both new and existing products in a metal stamping, fabricating, and assembly environment.

This role is heavily focused on tooling design, including progressive dies, slide forming tools, fixtures, and gages. You’ll work closely with Tool Engineering, Production, and Manufacturing teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, efficient, and production-ready.

If you enjoy translating prints into real-world tooling solutions and working directly with the floor during development and pilot runs, this role offers strong technical depth and ownership.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Read and interpret part prints, revisions, and specifications
• Design progressive metal stamping and slide forming tools
• Design tooling for sheet metal punching, forming, and fabrication
• Design gages, staging fixtures, and comparator traces for inspection support
• Develop weld and assembly fixtures
• Specify materials per customer prints and requirements
• Establish and manage project design timelines
• Provide customer feedback on tolerances and design for manufacturability (DFM)
• Support Tool Engineering, Production, and Manufacturing during development and pilot runs
• Participate in APQP-driven product launch teams
• Provide additional design support across internal teams as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical Design Engineering or related field
• Minimum 2+ years of design engineering experience
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in metal stamping, fabrication, or manufacturing environments
• Strong ability to read and interpret detailed engineering prints
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred)

We are partnering with a well-established machining and assembly facility in the Menomonee Falls area to find their next 3rd Shift Production Supervisor. This is a confidential search for a stable, growing manufacturer serving the automotive and industrial markets.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading and developing a team of ~20 machine operators on 3rd shift (9:30 PM – 6:30 AM)
• Driving production efficiency, safety compliance, and quality performance across your shift
• Tracking key metrics including scrap, efficiency, and safety KPIs
• Coordinating production scheduling and managing manufacturing cell performance
• Partnering with engineering, quality, and maintenance to resolve issues fast
