Raytheon’s Air Launched Effector Guidance Systems (ALEGS) Department is responsible for the delivery of affordable and innovative electrical products. The ALEGS Department is currently hiring a Sr. Electrical Engineer - Effector Guidance Systems position in Tucson, AZ to drive program execution including cost, schedule and technical oversight throughout the product lifecycle. Providing resources to drive development and sustainment activities of airborne electrical products. What You Will Do

• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration.

The Advanced Effector Guidance Systems (AEGS) Department within Raytheon Hardware Engineering provides Electrical Systems Engineering to develop Electronic Systems solutions for products across the Raytheon portfolio. The AEGS Department is searching for an Electrical Subsystems Guidance Section (GS) Lead with experience leading a multi-disciplinary system design and integration team. The role of the GS Lead is to lead a cross-functional and cross-discipline team of engineers through the design cycle for development and integration of a guidance section. This role will include Control Account Management (CAM) responsibilities so Earned Value (EV) certification is required.
 

What You Will Do

• Responsible for Technical, Cost, and Schedule Execution.

• Be responsible for the technical integrity of the GS, including the Technical Data Package (TDP) development, validation, and integration

• Manage costs and schedule for GS design, verification, and hardware procurement

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. The Systems Engineering and Test Center (SETC) organization is currently hiring a Systems Engineer II to join our Tucson, AZ location. SETC is an exciting and challenging environment where you will have the opportunity to design, develop and test to shape innovative solutions for our customers. What You Will Do

In this Systems Engineer role, you may support some of the following types of activities:

• Core Systems Engineering: Update, maintain, and improve requirements. Develop system architecture and model using Model Based Systems Engineering. Conduct trade studies based on Concept of Operations. Collaborate with engineers of all disciplines.

• Perform Test Planning: Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real-world environments and perform/execute the testing

• Integrate Systems: Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality and impact. Evaluate test results for requirements compliance.

• Create/modify documentation in support of design reviews and in preparation for test events.

• Perform Platform Integration, Flight Test, Qualification, Design Verification Execution

• Troubleshoot and Analyze: Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.

• Perform Data Analysis: Conduct statistical and numerical analysis test data to ensure optimal system performance and verify requirements.

• Support Missions: Travel as needed to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience.

• Experience with systems requirements, systems integration, and/or systems test.

• Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in the Defense Industry, and specifically with military systems; tactics, techniques, and procedures, as well as Department of Defense customer infrastructure experience.

• Understanding of the Systems Engineering product lifecycle

• Experience with performing performance analysis and presenting analytical and technical material

• Experience with DOORS, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools.

• Experience with model-based engineering and associated tools

• Experience in developing and managing requirements.

• Experience working in an integration lab, test facility, or in the field, supporting integration and/or verification.

• Experience with evaluating systems using simulated environments.

• Experience with generating technical documentation, such as trade studies, test plans, procedures, or technical reports.
