Leads day-to-day operations of projects for a general contracting business. Multi-family and senior housing.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Planning and coordination of subcontractors’ work and activities for a project.
· Attend and participate in Safety Training programs and ensures implementation of safety procedures that create a safe and healthy work environment through the job site. Adheres to OSHA safety and record keeping requirements.
· Enforce compliance with project site safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
· Verify subcontractor certificates of insurance.

· Advise senior level management of potential problems, work interference's or schedule difficulties, while assisting in circumventing or mitigating such conflicts. Provides assistance to involved contractors in resolving problems.
· Contributor to development of a thoughtful project pre-plan which includes a CPM schedule, work sequences, manpower utilization, material handling and storage requirements and equipment use.
· Communicate with project team regarding Work Directives, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.
· When requested, interfaces with owner, architect and design professionals to ensure compliance to design intent and owner satisfaction. Facilitates discovery and correction of contract document “errors and omissions” and problem solving to reduce the costs incurred.
· Ensure compliance with all internal and external record keeping requirements, with emphasis on accurate, properly coded employee automated timecards and accurately codes, fully priced material delivery tickets
· Prepare reports, document and complete all punch lists in a timely manner, review all drawings, specifications and subcontractor submittals
· Follow completion schedules and maintain a daily, written log of activities on the jobsite. Logs and reports might include photos and videos
· Use Procore construction management system to perform record-keeping tasks including, composing daily diaries, maintaining project logs and retrieving RFIs, submittal logs and agreements.
· Contribute to building good communications between project management, field engineering, estimating and specialty contractors to ensure construction complies with plans, specifications and company quality standards and that projects are completed on time and within budget.
· Chair or attend pre-job conference, regular subcontractor meetings
· Train, motivate and support subordinate employees in developing their capabilities to further company, project and personal development goals.
· Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing training skills to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.
· Perform additional assignments as directed by supervisors or as required for successful project completion
· Attend and/or lead job meetings and provide thorough reports

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Ability to analyze and develop solutions to complex problems and to communicate effectively with diverse groups required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The Senior Estimator responsible for preparing budgets, estimates and pre- bid packages for construction projects to be built for clients under the CM at Risk guaranteed maximum pricing structure.

You will act as the Staff Mechanical Engineering Owner's Representative with technical expertise for mechanical engineering issues, design management of in-house and outside resources, code compliance, Disney design standards, documentation, specifications, and life cycle cost analysis for best value. The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $126,800.00 to $154,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographical region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. Ride Development Engineering Design Assurance is an all-encompassing role that provides technical oversight and guidance in support of Ride project teams. As Ride engineering experts, they lead the way when it comes to process, standardization, and overall design compliance. Design Assurance Engineers work alongside our project teams to provide experience, knowledge, and expertise to help advance our projects.
This role will work with the Executive Ride Development Engineering.
This is a full-time role.
What You Will Do:
* Serve as Mechanical Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Ride Engineering design review process to ensure that appropriate engineering/design standards, methods, analyses, and judgment are applied so the engineered products meet the design intent and the business imperatives of safety, reliability, and efficiency.
* Review designs related to Ride Engineering products and provide feedback to project teams and functional management regarding the acceptability of those designs.
* Interpret and develop standards and codes that will be utilized by the Ride Engineering organization.
* Advocate global consistency of solutions for similar problems, and compliance with Disney and external standards.
* Partner with Disney leadership and project teams to improve process and standards for the benefit of future engineering efforts.

Required Qualifications & Skills
* Advanced engineering knowledge (e.g., statics, dynamics, kinematics, stress/strain/fatigue).
* Advanced engineering expertise (e.g., machine design, weldments, power train, materials).
* Proficiency with engineering tools (e.g., Solid Modeling, Building Information Modeling (BIM), 2D Modeling, FEA, Engineering calculation software e.g. Mathcad, Engineering programming and modeling software e.g. MatLab).
* Superior design sensibilities and creative problem solving.
* Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a large and diverse team environment.

Ride Control Software Engineers work within Imagineering's Ride Engineering Studio in a highly collaborative environment on diverse teams. Engineering activities cover all aspects of ride control software design and implementation, from concept to commissioning, for a wide variety of innovative ride platforms.
The role of Ride Control Software Engineer Principal (Design Assurance) focuses on design, analysis, system safety, and verification across multiple projects, supporting project teams in critical engineering quality activities.

Responsibilities:
Conduct design assurance activities in standards and best practices development, partnering with ride engineering partners across Disney Experiences and the amusement ride industry.
* Stay abreast of, and participate in the development of, company and industry standards and methodologies.
* Participate in company committees and industry organizations involved in ride safety and design.
* Maintain and improve engineering processes to meet project delivery and design assurance objectives.
* Conduct design assurance activities for ride project design review and testing, partnering with ride project team members.
* Review ride software designs for compliance with industry and company standards.
* Assess whether designs are of appropriate quality and meet project requirements.
* Advise project teams on optimal ride control software designs, safety analysis methods and results, and testing approaches.

Basic Qualifications:
* At least 15 years of experience with ride control software design, engineering, installation, and commissioning
* Proficient in fail-safe and safety-related control system design
* Experience with requirements development, test plans/procedures, and test execution
* Extensive knowledge of ride control software architectures
* Solid understanding of communication protocols: TCP/IP, CAN, serial, ProfiNET, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT
* Proficient in automated control software design applying functional safety concepts and standards
* Demonstrated practice in functional safety standards, including IEC 61508, IEC 62061, ISO 13849
* Familiarity with amusement and automation industry standards, including ASTM F2291
* Solid skills in technical document writing and communication
* Ability to travel domestically and internationally for 1-week to 3-month durations
* Ability to handle multiple complex efforts simultaneously, exert influence, and manage tasks and priorities
Preferred Qualifications:

* Perform engineering design and analysis for ride system networks, with focus on automation system architecture
* Design and test cyber security solutions and network architectures for ride systems
* Design, model, and analyze data network communication systems
* Research and test new products, technologies, and methodologies and conduct trade-off studies
* Prepare and propose new cyber security and network architecture concepts and standards
