Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to support our high-precision metal manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for developing accurate cost estimates and preparing competitive proposals for custom-manufactured components used in Electric Vehicles (EV), Aerospace, and Power Generation applications.
The Estimator will collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, customers, and suppliers to ensure accurate pricing, efficient process planning, and timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates for custom manufacturing projects
- Create detailed process routings and establish estimated production timelines
- Calculate material layouts, usage, and required outside services
- Prepare and submit formal proposals for customer review
- Partner with the Engineering and Production teams to validate processes and costs
- Communicate directly with customers and suppliers regarding specifications, scope, and deliverables
Services quoted may include Laser Cutting, Stamping, Notching, Machining, Fabrication, Welding, and Assembly.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing (Estimating, Inside Sales, CNC Operations, Stamping, Industrial Engineering, or Fabrication preferred)
- Strong knowledge of machining and sheet metal fabrication processes
- Associate degree preferred

What You’ll Do
NPI Sourcing Analyst – Role is responsible for driving sourcing strategy and supplier engagement for new product introductions within a defined region (i.e. North America). This role owns regional sourcing while partnering globally to ensure cost, capacity, risk, and localization objectives are met from concept through product launch. The position balances NPI execution with long-term regional supply base development and strategic sourcing initiatives.

New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Lead regional sourcing activities for new products from concept through launch and ramp-up.
- Engage regional and global suppliers early in the design phase to support DFM, DFC, and supplier-led innovation.
- Support regional sourcing strategy delivery aligned with global category strategies and NPI program requirements.
- Ensure supplier readiness for prototype, pilot, and production ramp within the region.
Regional Strategic Sourcing
- In coordination with NA Sourcing Lead, develop and execute regional sourcing strategies aligned with cost, risk, capacity, localization, and sustainability goals.
- Lead regional supply base development to support new technologies, growth, and localization initiatives.
- Drive regional sourcing decisions while ensuring alignment with global sourcing governance.
- Optimize regional footprint through make/buy, nearshore/reshore, and dual-source strategies.
- Monitor regional market trends, labor, logistics, geopolitical risks, and cost drivers.
Supplier Management & Development
- Identify, qualify, and onboard regional suppliers to support NPI and long-term business needs.
- Lead RFQs/RFPs, supplier selection, negotiations, and contracting within the region.
- Partner with Quality and Engineering on supplier qualification, PPAP/FAI, audits, and capability assessments.

- Own regional piece-price, tooling, and total cost of ownership (TCO) for NPI components.

Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration

Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and BIM to create detailed design plans and models.
Collaborate with project teams, including engineers, architects, and construction professionals, to ensure the seamless integration of plumbing systems into overall project designs.
Perform complex calculations related to plumbing design and systems.
Review and interpret blueprints, plans, and other design documents.
Participate in project meetings, providing expert input on plumbing design and coordination.
Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues that arise during the construction process.
Keep abreast of the latest developments and technologies in the field of plumbing design and coordination.
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
4+ years of experience in plumbing design and coordination, preferably within the Engineering industry.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and related regulations and standards.
Excellent technical drawing and design skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
