About the Opportunity:

A well-established and growing manufacturing organization in the Greater Rockford area is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support a high-precision CNC machining operation within a job shop environment.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working closely with machinists, improving shop-floor processes, and optimizing production flow through strong planning, routing, and scheduling expertise.

This position offers:

Ideal Background. We are seeking candidates who bring:

• 5+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience (milling and/or turning)
• Experience in a job shop, precision machining, machine tool, or capital equipment environment
• Strong knowledge of tooling, fixturing, and machining process optimization
• Experience creating routers, estimating cycle times, and supporting production scheduling
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T

Key Technical Skills You Need:

• CNC machining processes (milling and turning)
