Ride Development Engineering Design Assurance is an all-encompassing role that provides technical oversight and guidance in support of Ride project teams. As Ride engineering experts, they lead the way when it comes to process, standardization, and overall design compliance. Design Assurance Engineers work alongside our project teams to provide experience, knowledge, and expertise to help advance our projects.
This role will work with the Executive Ride Development Engineering.
This is a full-time role.
What You Will Do:
- Serve as Mechanical Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Ride Engineering design review process to ensure that appropriate engineering/design standards, methods, analyses, and judgment are applied so the engineered products meet the design intent and the business imperatives of safety, reliability, and efficiency.
- Review designs related to Ride Engineering products and provide feedback to project teams and functional management regarding the acceptability of those designs.
- Interpret and develop standards and codes that will be utilized by the Ride Engineering organization.
- Advocate global consistency of solutions for similar problems, and compliance with Disney and external standards.
- Partner with Disney leadership and project teams to improve process and standards for the benefit of future engineering efforts.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Advanced engineering knowledge (e.g., statics, dynamics, kinematics, stress/strain/fatigue).
- Advanced engineering expertise (e.g., machine design, weldments, power train, materials).
- Proficiency with engineering tools (e.g., Solid Modeling, Building Information Modeling (BIM), 2D Modeling, FEA, Engineering calculation software e.g. Mathcad, Engineering programming and modeling software e.g. MatLab).
- Superior design sensibilities and creative problem solving.

- Assist LAWA with planning of procurements and setting pre‐award schedules for contracts including Board actions
- Assist in coordination of Pre‐Bid/Proposal Meetings to present the Project and RFB/RFP to potential bidder/proposers.

Role Overview
The Product Development Manager is responsible for managing the product development lifecycle from initial concept through manufacturing handoff. Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Lifecycle

Sampling & Factory Collaboration
- Oversee the sampling process in close collaboration with the Production team and overseas factories
- Review and approve samples across function, materials, color, print, construction, and packaging
- Ensure samples reflect final retail-ready and DTC-ready specifications, minimizing late-stage changes
Manufacturing Handoff
- Own the final handoff to Production once a product is development-complete
- Ensure all documentation is finalized, including specs, testing protocol, packaging requirements, and channel-specific variations
- Support Production during early manufacturing runs to ensure design intent, quality, and channel requirements are maintained
Compliance, Testing & Retail Readiness
- Ensure products comply with all relevant U.S. and international safety standards (e.g., ASTM, CPSIA, Prop 65)
- Work with production team to account for retailer-specific compliance, packaging, labeling, and testing requirements
- Partner with testing labs and internal teams to manage certifications, warnings, and documentation for all sales channels
Cross-Functional & Omni-Channel Management
- Serve as the central hub between Design, Production, Sourcing, Marketing, E-commerce, and Retail partners
- Communicate channel-specific tradeoffs, timelines, and risks clearly to leadership
- Help build scalable product development systems that support rapid DTC launches and large retail programs simultaneously
Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of experience in product development, ideally within consumer products, outdoor goods, inflatables, or adjacent categories
- Proven experience guiding products from concept through manufacturing handoff
- Experience developing products for multiple sales channels, including DTC, Amazon, and/or big-box retail
- Strong understanding of overseas manufacturing, materials, tooling, and production processes
- Familiarity with retail compliance, packaging standards, and testing requirements
- Exceptional project management, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to balance creative vision with operational and commercial constraints
- Passion for design-led, brand-forward consumer products

The Addressable Activation department serve as KINESSO's hands-on-keyboard platform experts, focusing on all aspects of successful campaign execution and stewardship. The Manager is accountable for the performance & pacing of their assigned brand(s) and customizes departmental standards & process to fit client needs. They act as a point of escalation and are the go-to experts both internally and externally for matters of complex setup, optimization, and platform nuances. Successful applicants must have a deep expertise across a variety of client KPIs and buying platforms. Examples include DV360, Adwords, The Trade Desk, Roku, Vistar, Facebook, Snapchat, etc. A history of team management/mentorship and a comfort with internal/external-facing communication are a must!
Responsibilities
Customer/Client Management: Owns the execution and day-to-day management of a portion of a client assignment, based on specialized or technical knowledge
* Vendor Relationship Management: Leads the vendor strategy; has experience and industry knowledge to identify vendors for key needs. Approves vendor selections and scopes
* Discipline-Specific Tasks: Owns oversight of junior team members; defines optimization parameters at the campaign level, vets optimization suggestions from partners, attends internal status meetings to speak to optimizations, pacing, and performance
* Platform Reporting: Works with team on development of reporting dashboards; ensures clean, accurate, and actionable client reporting
* Solutions Innovation: Identifies and delivers new audience-based addressable solutions to drive business growth; masters growth initiatives across the company
* Provides day-to-day supervision to a team including reviewing work, coaching on performance, coordinating activities, checking on quality and work progress; generally managing within one account, or multiple small accounts
* Evaluates information and leverages experience to identify and solve on-going or complex problems
* Requires understanding of the industry, processes, procedures and systems within own and related areas
Required Skills & Experience
Proven track-record of successfully seeking out and curating new business relationships and/or solutions; developing solutions using new or existing processes
