POSITION SUMMARY: Controls Engineers are responsible for designing, developing, installing, and maintaining equipment used to monitor and control systems, equipment and processes. They work in various industries including building management systems, power system automation and protection systems. Controls engineers use these skills to design and implement solutions to our customers' complex needs.

Specific areas of expertise for this position include power chain monitoring and control systems in Data Centers and /or mission critical environments. Experience in Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) and field device configuration such as gateways, PLC, Meters, Relays, and SCADA/HMI software. Experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS) and configuration/programming of field controllers is beneficial.

Technical Responsibilities


  • Design / Engineering

    • Assists Senior Engineers in design documents for SCADA/Automation projects

      • Developing design document narratives

Education/Experience:

Job Description:

  • The Associate Manufacturing Engineer will design new, modified, or improved components/process tooling in accordance with engineering standards and project scope of work.
  • This role will be an entry level role within the operations engineering organization to gain knowledge and skills in providing engineering support to various manufacturing processes.


Responsibilities:

  • These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
  • Under close supervision, perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned according to Client's engineering standards and processes.
  • Support more senior engineers in the preparation of plants, designs, computation methods, and reporting.
  • Work on projects with limited complexity in a support role.
  • Prepare vehicle layouts and component part drawings with supporting calculations (i.e. weight distribution etc.).
  • Select parts and/or design components for cost and quality-consciousness.
  • Follow project on the assembly floor or through prototype build when instructed by supervisor and render assistance as necessary.
  • Generate bills of material and assembly drawings as required by the project.
  • Adhere to time schedules.
  • Utilize engineering tools (CAD) equipment in assigned projects.


Requirements:

  • Experience with CAD modeling software, 3D
  • Familiarity with mechanical designing
  • Familiarity with applying material science within a design
  • Strong mechanical background.
  • Manufacturing facility exposure.


Preferred:

  • Internship in a relevant engineering space.
  • Knowledge of equipment manufacturing industry or automobile industry.
  • Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma tools.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite; including a strong emphasis on Excel.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical preferred) or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
