● Month-End Close Support: Prepare accruals, understand timing differences, and ensure project activity is properly reflected in financial statements.
● Cost & Expenditure Tracking: Monitor project spend, identify inconsistencies, and support accurate cost allocation.
● Funding & Compliance Support: Assist with project funding oversight, including preparation of draw requests and compliance with loan or funding requirements.
● Documentation & Audit Support: Maintain organized financial records and assist with audits by preparing schedules and explanations.
● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners regarding project-related accounting matters.
● Process Improvement: Support continuous improvement of accounting workflows, reporting processes, and project financial controls.
Must Have: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with monthly full-cycle accounting experience with entering J/E's, Bank Reconciliations, accruals, detecting trend changes, etc.
Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles Experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end close, and financial statement preparation Proven ability to perform budget-to-actual analysis and explain financial variances Preferred: Experience in project-based, construction, or development accounting environments Exposure to cost tracking, project budgeting, or funding/draw processes Experience working with accounting or project management software Familiarity with audit support or compliance-driven reporting Interested in hearing more?
