Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Weld fabrication experience is a plus.

The Head of Manufacturing will lead our manufacturing and MSAT teams as we transition from pre-clinical manufacturing and move into our newly built cGMP production facility. Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing and MSAT Leadership

People, Strategy, and Organizational Development

Education

Experience

• 8 years+ of experience in GMP manufacturing, MSAT, process engineering, or technical operations within biotech, biopharma, or related regulated manufacturing environments
• Demonstrated experience leading or directly supporting GMP manufacturing operations including hands-on involvement
• Prior experience supporting or leading startup activities in new facilities or new manufacturing suites
• Experience managing and developing small, highly technical teams, preferably in a startup environment
• Experience in early-stage or clinical manufacturing environments (pre-IND through Phase II) strongly preferred

OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY

Responsible for the overall safe and efficient plant operations of Gillibrand Industrial Sands, Inc. Manages and directs the activities of production, quality control and implements the strategy for the facility. Manages the operations associated with Industrial Sand and aggregate production, including quarrying, mining, processing, quality control, stockpiling, loading and shipping. Responsible for Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) aspects of the facility, fixed and mobile equipment maintenance, and employee relations.

JOB DUTIES:

Operations Management:

· Oversee all aspects of Industrial Sand / Aggregate plant operations, including crushing, screening, washing, and material handling.

· Schedule and manage daily production to meet quality and volume targets.

· Monitor equipment performance and coordinate routine maintenance and repairs.

· Plans and schedules production requirements (people & equipment) to support daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecast to meet customer’s needs.

· Identifies, assesses, prioritizes, and resolves production and employee-related problems.

· Manages production meetings on the daily operations of the plant.

· Walks throughout the operation daily and ensures the cleanliness of the entire facility.

Personnel Management:

QUALIFICATIONS

· BS degree in Engineering (Mining/ Civil, Mechanical/ Materials/ Mineral Processing); preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Minimum of 5 years’ prior work experience in supervising production employees, preferably at either an Industrial Sand or Industrial Minerals mine. Construction materials industry experience preferred

· Knowledge and understanding of modern principles and practices of supervising production employees

· Thorough knowledge of plant operations and their associated products, processes, and related equipment.

WORK DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT

4) Support Plant Automation team during the project implementation of new automation solutions including DeltaV Distributed Control System (DCS), Rockwell Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems (SCADA) related hardware, software, network infrastructure, and electronic Rt-reporting scope across various projects.

5) Support Plant Automation team during the post-implementation activities including operationalization of the new assets by extending hyper-care support, training the System Owners, and Manufacturing team, revising the SOPs, and training documents, delivering spare parts list, updating Maximo assets and CMDB systems.

6) Ensure compliance to Engineering and Operational standards, specifications, and procedures as applicable during the project design and implementation.

7) As applicable to the capital project scope, represent Plant Automation team and support new continuous improvements by performing automation engineering assessments, implementing automation system configuration changes, and supporting engineering and process qualification runs.

8) Support a safe working environment by complying with all pertinent environmental health/safety practice, rules, and regulations.

The Embedded Software Engineer II will design, develop, and debug embedded software for advanced aerospace systems. In this role, you will work in small, cross‑functional teams to solve engineering challenges, support new and existing core products, and contribute to industry‑leading technology in a fast‑paced environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Capture, decompose, and derive functional requirements to develop detailed technical specifications.
• Apply software standards and use technical specifications to design, develop, integrate, and test safety‑critical embedded software using both standard and model‑based development methodologies.
• Author design documentation and develop low‑level drivers for microcontrollers and related peripherals.
• Perform, track, and control project activities, including managing external subcontractors and offshore verification partners.
• Provide guidance to team members on best practices and safety‑critical software development.
• Prepare and deliver periodic status reports for key internal stakeholders.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, including tool and process standardization.

Qualifications

• Strong experience programming in C at the low level (microcontrollers, drivers, hardware interaction).
• Experience in software verification for embedded systems.
• Proficiency with version control and configuration management tools.
• Experience with system verification using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.).
• Ideally, familiarity with aerospace compliance standards such as DO‑178B/C and SOI audit experience.
• Strong analytical and systematic problem‑solving abilities.
• Fundamental understanding of engineering principles, concepts, and techniques.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Technical Science discipline (Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, etc.).
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
