We’re a design-driven manufacturing leader seeking a qualified Design Engineering Manager to join our growing team. This is a newly created role designed to support continued expansion and strengthen our engineering leadership.
In this position, you will oversee both the Design Engineering and Project Engineering teams while collaborating closely with internal departments as well as external manufacturing and supply partners. The role focuses on implementing effective design strategies and processes while ensuring projects stay aligned with timelines, budgets, and performance goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the engineering design team to ensure high performance and productivity
Develop and implement scalable design strategies and engineering processes
Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure project success
Drive innovation in manufacturability, including work with drawings and bills of material
Provide technical leadership and resolve complex engineering design challenges
Prepare and present design proposals and project updates to senior leadership
Requirements
8+ years of experience in engineering design of manufacturing, industrial, or processing equipment.
3+ years of leadership or management experience
3+ years of experience with CAD software (preferably AutoCAD or Inventor)
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Job Title : Nuclear Engineer (Naval Reactors Engineer) Category / Component : Officer • Active Overview Design, regulate, and oversee the Navy's nuclear propulsion program, including reactor design, fleet operations, and eventual defueling and decommissioning of nuclear powered ships and submarines from Naval Reactors Headquarters and associated Department of Energy laboratories and shipyards.
Key Responsibilities Provide technical direction in areas such as reactor and fluid systems design, reactor physics, materials development, component design for steam generators, pumps, and valves, instrumentation and control for reactor and propulsion plants, testing and quality control, radiation shielding, and chemistry and radiological controls; review designs and analyses from laboratories, shipyards, and industry partners; coordinate with fleet units to ensure safe and reliable nuclear plant operation.
What to Expect Assume significant technical responsibility early in your career as part of a lean headquarters staff; work primarily in an analytical and oversight role rather than operating plants at sea; balance long term engineering projects with time sensitive fleet and shipyard issues; frequent coordination with senior civilian engineers, naval officers, and technical teams; high expectations for attention to detail, judgment, and written and oral communication.
Work Environment Work mainly at Naval Reactors Headquarters in the Washington, District of Columbia area with regular engagement with Department of Energy laboratories, nuclear training sites, shipyards, and nuclear powered ships and submarines; office based work that includes document reviews, technical meetings, inspections, and site visits rather than day to day shipboard watchstanding.
Pathways, Training & Advancement Officer commissioning through programs such as Officer Candidate School or the Nuclear Propulsion Officer Candidate program followed by a structured technical qualification program at Naval Reactors; rotational exposure to laboratories, prototypes, shipyards, and fleet support issues; progressive responsibility leading projects and becoming a subject matter expert, with opportunities for professional military education and advanced graduate study in technical fields.
Entry through the Nuclear Propulsion Officer Candidate program for qualified college students and recent graduates, or selection via Officer Candidate School for those who already hold qualifying degrees; all applicants must meet Nuclear Propulsion Program academic and technical screening standards in addition to general officer commissioning requirements.

QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER

We’re currently seeking a hands-on Quality Control Manager to own our quality program and ensure continuous production of parts consistent with customer and regulatory standards. You’ll lead QC technicians, drive inspections and continuous improvement, partner with production and engineering and resolve quality issues.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain quality standards, inspection criteria, and procedures
- Lead product inspections throughout the production cycle
- Support continuous improvement across departments
- Manage Quality Control Technicians and quality training programs
- Partner with production, engineering, and vendors to improve product quality and reduce costs
- Investigate customer complaints, RMAs, and quality issues
- Prepare Production Part Approval Process (PPAPs) and support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and fixed cost projects
- Monitor and report customer quality metrics
- Oversee calibration and certification of QC and measurement tools
- Support GD&T reviews and new product/process development
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality systems
- Knowledge of CMM operation, PC-DMIS, PolyWorks, 3D scanning, and Roamer arm
- Strong leadership and Quality Control technical skills including Microsoft Office proficiency (MIETrak manufacturing software experience is a plus)
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills with the ability to solve quality-related problems, analyze data and present to teams and customers
- Familiarity with High QA systems preferred
