Job Details The Field Service Technician will travel to customer sites—up to 90% travel, including overnight stays and occasional weekends—to install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated equipment.

This position requires strong electro-mechanical skills, PLC familiarity, and the ability to work directly with customers in high-impact situations.

Key Responsibilities Perform installations, commissioning, emergency repairs, audits, retrofits, and preventive maintenance on automated and industrial equipment.

Execute mechanical and electrical modifications, including PLC adjustments, servo drive setup, and VFD configuration.

Diagnose equipment issues, perform troubleshooting, and recommend corrective actions.

Conduct site meetings to explain job scope, review completed work, and train customer personnel on operation and maintenance.

Maintain regular communication with field service leadership and internal support teams.

Provide equipment reliability feedback to engineering and quality teams to drive product improvements.

Accurately complete all required documentation, CRM entries, timesheets, and expense reports.

Follow all company, customer, and industry safety policies and standards.

Support headquarters with technical support, final assurance, or lifecycle services as needed.

Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems.

Strong ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electronic issues in the field.

PLC knowledge required; Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and machine documentation.

Experience with VFD parameter setup, servo motor configuration, and drive commissioning strongly preferred.

Strong electro-mechanical aptitude with preventative maintenance experience.

Valid driver’s license and ability to qualify for a U.S.

passport.

Comfortable with extensive travel (up to 90%), including overnight stays and occasional weekends.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred

  • Basic tools, required

  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including:

  • Routine preventative maintenance, which should include oil changes, brake and tire work, required

  • Two (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in required experience, preferred

  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A,preferred

  • This position requires for you to drive Ryder vehicles. In order to become a Ryder employee you must:

  • Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire

  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test

  • Pass a Ryder road test

  • Interacts with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task

  • Utilizes key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available

  • Works in accordance with all federal/ provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT, MOT)

  • Performs other support duties as required to support operations. These could include but are not limited to Service Island support

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Defines and develops performance metrics.
  • Ensures data integrity in reporting and analytics.
  • Identifies and implements better work and business processes.
  • Develops, programs, and implements automated methods and systems, to track workflow and performance efficiencies.
  • Performs economic, business, and engineering analyses.
  • Collect daily measurement data; coordinate resolution of non-collecting devices (meters, electronic field measurement devices, communication devices, tec.) with field personnel.
  • Analyze/trouble-shoot inconsistencies in measurement data; performs estimates as required using best available estimate routine for given situation.
  • Activities will feed into the EBB system daily to provide balancing data to pipeline shippers and allow shippers to manage their daily business on the pipeline.
  • Responsible for performing the measurement function to assure the overall integrity and accuracy of data received from the SCADA system and uploaded to the EBB system. All activities must be performed in compliance with FERC regulations.
  • Interactions with various departments throughout the company including but not limited to: Field Operations, Transportation services, Accounting and Management.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.


QUALIFICATIONS

Associate Business Performance Analyst:

0-2 years of relevant directly related work experience.

Business Performance Analyst:

3+ years of relevant directly related work experience.

Sr. Business Performance Analyst:

5+ years of directly related work experience.

Education : Bachelor (Typically four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)

Preferred Degree : Accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance
