Overview

We are seeking a Manufacturing Product Engineer with background in Manufacturing to oversee the development, manufacturing and lifecycle management of mechanical components for a key client. This role will interface between internal teams, vendors and the client. You will manage product deliveries, scheduling and technical changes as needed.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical engineering background, hands-on manufacturing experience and experience managing mechanical products from concept to production.

Duties

• Own and manage assigned mechanical component products throughout their lifecycle, from development through production and delivery
• Coordinate with internal engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure product requirements are met
• Manage external vendors and suppliers, including sourcing, technical alignment, timelines, and performance

This leader will unify strategic sourcing and procurement operations across multiple regional manufacturing sites, leveraging collective purchasing power to drive material cost reductions, improve supplier performance, and implement scalable processes that support multi-program growth.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Procurement Leadership

• Develop and implement unified sourcing strategies for key spend categories including:
• Raw Materials & Exotic Alloys (Titanium, Nickel Super-Alloys, Aluminum, High-Temperature Steels)
• Composite Systems (Carbon-Carbon, Ablatives, Resin Systems, Prepregs)
• Machined & Fabricated Components (Large-Part Machining, Spin Forming, Precision Metal Forming)
• Outside Processing Services (Heat Treat, NDT, Surface Finishing, Welding/Bonding)
• Indirect/Plant-Wide Supplies (MRO, Tooling, Energy, Logistics)
• Lead supplier consolidation efforts to leverage regional scale and deliver year-over-year cost savings.
• Negotiate long-term agreements (LTAs) and framework contracts to stabilize pricing, secure supplier capacity, and improve cash flow.
• Own commercial and contractual execution, including vendor terms and conditions, liability, IP protection, and strategic sourcing frameworks to ensure both agility and compliance.

• Support long-lead procurement planning, make/buy analysis, and MRP integration to synchronize with production schedules and program milestones.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Program Management to embed Design-for-Supply-Chain (DfSC) and design-to-cost principles into new program launches.
• Drive early supplier engagement in the design phase to optimize manufacturability, lead times, and lifecycle cost outcomes.

Supplier Development & Risk Management

• Lead Supplier Performance Management (SPM) and Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) programs focused on on-time delivery, quality, and total cost.
• Establish a risk-based supplier segmentation model to monitor critical suppliers, mitigate single-source dependencies, and ensure ITAR/EAR/CMMC compliance.
• Conduct supplier audits, qualifications, and scorecard reviews to maintain compliance with DCMA, DoD, and NASA standards.
• Partner with suppliers on value engineering, capacity expansion, and new material qualification initiatives supporting new product introductions (NPI).
• Develop and maintain dual-sourcing and continuity planning strategies to safeguard critical production materials.

Performance Management & Digital Transformation

• Establish and track key procurement KPIs including On-Time-In-Full (OTIF), Purchase Price Variance (PPV), inventory turnover, and supplier lead time performance.
• Implement supplier operational KPIs tied to on-time delivery, quality, and inventory performance, with routine reviews to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
• Drive ERP and MRP process discipline across regional sites to ensure accurate BOM structures, material planning, cost roll-up integrity, and data governance.
• Champion digital tools and analytics dashboards to deliver real-time visibility into supplier performance, material spend, and inventory health.
• Drive inventory optimization through regional initiatives such as Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), consignment programs, and supply consolidation with strategic partners to reduce working capital and lead times.
• Build and lead a high-accountability organization structured around core supply chain domains—planning, sourcing, materials, and supplier development—with clear ownership, measurable KPIs, and alignment to corporate objectives.
• Champion Lean and Six Sigma practices to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve responsiveness across all sites.

Executive Partnership & Strategic Influence

• Serve as a strategic partner to the executive leadership team, providing real-time supply chain intelligence, material cost projections, and risk assessments to support operational planning, business cases, and customer proposals.
• Collaborate with Finance and Commercial leadership on the annual business plan to forecast material spend, inflation impact, and cost-savings opportunities in support of revenue and profit commitments.
• Communicate progress, risks, and cost-reduction results through executive dashboards and structured reporting.
• Represent Supply Chain in corporate strategy sessions, ensuring alignment between program requirements and long-term procurement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain leadership within aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing, including at least 5 years overseeing multi-site or regional operations.

• Determines most practical inspection method and technique; plans sequence of operation; selects precision measuring instruments and equipment to dimensionally inspect units. Performs surface table inspections using standard positioning, measuring and layout instruments and equipment. Uses shop mathematics, decimals and fractions in the performance of the work noted herein.
• Conducts first article, receiving inspection, in-process inspection and final inspection assignments; visually and dimensionally inspects a wide variety of airframes parts and aerospace assemblies/components.
• Witness's first piece part production and certifies acceptability; observes and performs in-process inspection during component build-up and sub-assembly stages; performs final assembly inspection and observes testing operations to assure quality, workmanship and strict compliance with Arrowhead, military space and commercial specifications and standards.
• Inspects incoming metallic and fiber materials, plastic and rubber compounds for correct formulation call- out, serialization, identification, cure date and shelf life; verifies vendor and material certifications; checks heat codes, batch and lot numbers to assure product tractability; certifies the proper mixing and blending of bonding agents and adhesives. Inspects reinforced plastic and rubber products for delaminating, blisters, porosity, bond, elasticity, gauge surface smoothness and similar defects or characteristics. Checks configuration and part dimensions with or without the aid of assembly check gauges, fixtures and tooling. Prepares shipping data package for non-metal (soft goods) components/assemblies in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Monitors oven and cure processes and records temperature readings and dwell time; performs or observes pressurization and leak test using plant air, nitrogen and helium.
• Prepare rework tags, inspection reports and documentation. Coordinates rejection with MRB, engineering and customer representatives for depositions and process refinement. Assembles end item documentation for the review and acceptance of finished products. Prepares and maintains history files, records and reports.

The Director of Manufacturing will lead the production, planning, quality inspection and inventory control teams and work with the test and engineering teams for successful LRIP (Low-Rate Initial Production) of our Subsurface Compressor Systems; perform cost reduction; improve productivity, ensure quality builds; and ensure deliveries are made on time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Lead and direct the manufacturing team to meet delivery commitments.
2. Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule; identify risks and take mitigating actions to address them preemptively.
3. Ensure production builds meet delivery, design, quality and forecasted budget.
4. Drive the S&OP forecasting process based on sales outlook, fleet support and internal usage.
5. Maintain spare part requirements for the operating fleet including R&D. Drive the S&OP process through purchase approvals.
6. Institute plans to improve productivity, reduce build costs and execute high quality builds. Continue to implement KPIs for these and define and track performance metrics, including OTTR and forecast accuracy.
7. Initiate NCR and follow through to closure to correct and prevent re-occurrence of manufacturing issues.
8. Verify quality traceability in the production management systems per ISO 9001
9. Ensure build procedures are consistently followed and operators are trained.
10. Build hardware failure contingency plans for production work and field support to reduce delivery risk and lead times
11. Implement 5S, including a special focus on safety assessment and PPE.
12. Assist in dispositioning discrepant material and ensuring engineering intent is met in the manufacturing process.
13. Contribute to and comply with ISO9001.

Skills, Experience, Education, and Abilities:

• BS degree in a technical field (Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred) or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• A minimum of 7 years progressive and related experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to support hands-on decision making, management, mentoring and development of technicians and engineers in a highly collaborative environment.
• Ability to read prints and familiar with interpretation of GD&T call outs.
• Strong understanding of geometric tolerancing per ASME Y14.5, dimensional stack-ups, inspection procedures and metrology equipment.
• Experience building turbomachinery, which includes high-speed rotating equipment, electric motors, compressors and oil management systems.
• Familiar with creating ERP system BOM’s & Routers; experience with Global Shop is a plus.
• Knowledge of standard manufacturing processes for complex, precision turbo machinery: casting, machining, milling, grinding, rotor balancing, mechanical and electrical assembly, inspection techniques, oil management systems (tubing, fittings, etc.) and pressurized assemblies.

Wire Harness Design Engineer

What Content You Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related

• 4–6 years' experience in content creation, marketing communications, or digital marketing

• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with strong attention to detail

• Experience with B2B marketing and multi-channel campaigns

• Working knowledge of SEO principles, marketing analytics, and marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Marketo, or similar)

• Experience using content management systems such as WordPress or HubSpot
