Position Summary
Sterling is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician with strong machining, fabrication, and design experience to join our team. This role will support engineering and production initiatives by designing, fabricating, and modifying components, fixtures, and tooling in a machine shop environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with extensive hands-on experience in tool and die making, manual machining, and fabrication, capable of working independently while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality.
This role will initially be hired as an Engineering Technician III, with the opportunity for promotion to Engineering Technician IV upon transition to a core employee.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, fabricate, and modify tools, fixtures, and custom components to support engineering and production operations.
- Operate and maintain manual machining equipment, including manual lathes, manual mills, and other machine shop tools.
- Perform tool and die making, precision machining, and fabrication work based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Utilize 3D modeling software to support design, prototyping, and process improvements.
- Develop and edit CNC programs using MasterCam when required to support machining operations.
- Create and present technical documentation, process updates, and project summaries using PowerPoint and Excel.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design, troubleshoot, and improve mechanical systems, tooling, and fabrication processes.
- Ensure work is performed independently, safely, and in accordance with machine shop best practices and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized machine shop environment and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a machine shop, tool and die, fabrication, or precision machining environment.
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Machining, Tool & Die, or related field.
- Experience supporting engineering prototyping, R&D, or manufacturing process development.
- Experience working in high-precision or prototype fabrication environments.
- Extensive experience operating manual lathes, manual mills, and other machine shop equipment.
- Strong background in tool and die making and custom fabrication.
- Experience using 3D modeling software for mechanical design or component development.

We’re seeking a hands-on Test Technician with a solid technical foundation and strong troubleshooting abilities to support our electronic product testing operations. The ideal candidate will have formal training, certifications, or education in electronics and a working knowledge of Ohm’s Law, schematic reading, and electrical power systems. This role focuses on real-world testing, debugging, and validation.
Job Duties:
- Conduct electrical and electronic tests to verify performance, functionality, and compliance with production quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues at the component, board, and system levels using schematics and test equipment.
- Develop, maintain, and improve test and burn-in processes to ensure reliability and throughput.
- Review and update process specifications and documentation to ensure accuracy and alignment with current practices.

We are seeking a skilled Repair Technician to join our operations team. In this role, you will perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, rework, and repair of electronic assemblies, PCBAs, wiring harnesses, and mechanical components to restore units to full functional condition. All work must meet IPC standards, customer requirements, and ESD-safe handling practices.
Job Duties:
- Perform diagnostics, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic and mechanical assemblies.
- Execute component-level and board-level rework in accordance with IPC-7711/7721 standards.

Michelin has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Professional/Operator who operates the equipment to make our products in an industrial plant environment. WHAT WILL YOU DO
Operate industrial equipment to manufacture the components and final products (tires or tracks) while respecting the safety, quality, productivity levels and other Michelin standards.
Inspect and verify the quality and adherence to standards of your production such as rubber mixes, rubber/metal components, or tires/tracks.
Implement and uphold the environmental management system and other work standards to protect yourself and the community.
Contribute/lead problem resolution or continuous improvement efforts in the areas of SMQDC (Safety, Machine, Quality, Delivery, or Costs).
Participate in on-the-job activities, informal and formal training to continually learn/apply new skills for the current job and your desired career path.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING
A willingness/ability to work in an industrial environment with rotating 12 hours shifts using the proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection, etc.
Proven ability to adhere to safety and quality procedures in previous experience.
Ability to learn the mechanics of machinery and use of tools.
Display values like cooperation, transparency, courage, and humility to foster teamwork.
Success in working with employees and teams to meet a common objective.
Show a level of attention to detail and data accuracy in previous work.
