Overview: Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a highly visible role that is designed to evolve into a true subject matter expert position, with clear leadership potential over time. This is an opportunity to own complex manufacturing processes end-to-end, influence technical direction, and become a go-to resource across engineering and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a technical authority for assigned manufacturing processes and product lines
- Lead manufacturing process design, optimization, and validation for precision metal components
- Drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (yield, cycle time, scrap, cost)
- Partner cross-functionally with Design Engineering, Quality, and Operations on new product introductions
- Develop and improve tooling, fixturing, work instructions, and standard processes
- Troubleshoot complex manufacturing and quality issues using data-driven root cause analysis
- Support capacity planning, capital equipment justification, and implementation
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians; contribute to long-term technical strategy
- Gradually take on informal and formal leadership responsibilities as the role matures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or similar)
- 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in precision manufacturing environments
- Strong background in metal forming, stamping, springs, or closely related processes preferred
- Experience with Lean manufacturing, process optimization, and root cause analysis
- Ability to operate as both a hands-on problem solver and strategic technical resource
- Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally
Evaluate production process, recommend improvements, qualify and conduct vendor management, generate and maintain DMR’s, product specifications, design control files, and CE technical files.
Job Description MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the development and implementation of methods and procedures for process control, process validation, process improvement, testing, and inspection to ensure that products are ideal and functional.
Design experiments to understand sources of variation affecting products and processes.
Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
Design and perform experimental product testing and analysis to maintain quality levels and minimize defects and failure rates.
Generate and analyze reports and defective products to determine trends and lead corrective actions.
Use concepts of probability and statistical quality control to guide decisions.
Direct and collaborate with supplier representatives on quality problems, ensure corrective action implementation (CAPA, SCAR), and contribute to supplier quality improvement programs.
Lead supplier qualifications.
Provide Quality expertise in Product Development, Design Control activities, Risk Management, and CE Technical Files.
Responsible for building appropriate product documentation (e.g.
Device Master Records) in compliance with applicable regulations.
Work with Regulatory Groups and Suppliers to produce 510K submissions, letters to file, etc., as required.
Coordinate product testing with internal and external laboratories as required.
Ensure compliance with domestic and international regulations associated with product lines and processes.
Perform quality reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality documents and company quality records.
Lead investigations of product and process non-conformances and out-of-specification results and develop effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Education: Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Math or other related technical field.
Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience in the Quality or Engineering.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives, and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
Experience using time management skills to prioritize, organize, and track details in order to meet deadlines of multiple projects.
Experience problem solving, overcoming obstacles, and reaching a positive and successful solution through mathematical or systematic operations.
Experience using MS Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook ).
Intermediate Skill Level in Microsoft Excel (for example: conditional formatting, tables, formulas, charting) Working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards (e.g.
21 CFR 820, ISO13485).
Position requires up to 15% travel.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS: At least 2 years of industry experience in Medical Devices, Drugs, and/or fields directly related to the role.

- $119,000.00 Annual The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities.
This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible.
Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.

The hourly rate for this position is:
$22.20 - $38.90Commissions:
This position is eligible for commission.

Except as otherwise required by state law, CarMax Associates are entitled to the following paid sick, vacation, and holiday time.
Associates that are considered full-time hourly or commissioned are eligible:
- To earn up to 48 hours of sick time per year accrued on a per pay period basis and between 80 hours and 200 hours per year of vacation time after a 90 day waiting period depending on years of continuous service with the Company.
- For 8 hours of pay for each of a total of 6 paid scheduled holidays per year plus 1 floating holiday. If such an Associate does work on a scheduled holiday due to business need, they are eligible for Holiday Premium Pay.
Associates considered full-time salaried are entitled to paid time away with no specified limit as needed for sick, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, floating holiday, etc. subject to manager approval.

- Automotive Technicians diagnose, recondition and repair vehicles to ensure CarMax customers can drive away feeling safe and at ease
- Work as part of a team to solve technical problems quickly and effectively
- Build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles

Qualifications and requirements
- Experience in one or more of the following: engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, heating and air conditioning
- Knowledge of health and safety compliance
- Manual dexterity and physical stamina, lift heavy objects, and walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Possession of a valid driver’s license
- Where required by State/Local law, maintain ASE Certifications in Steering and Suspension (A4), Brakes (A5), Heating Air Conditioning (A7), Electrical (A6), Engine Repair (A1), Manual Drive Train and Axles (A3), Engine Performance (A8), and Automatic Transmission/Transaxle (A2)
