Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of reinforced concrete work on construction sites, ensuring adherence to design specifications, codes, and safety standards.
- Verify proper concrete forming techniques, placement, curing processes, and reinforcement installation.
- Perform quality control tests and collect data related to concrete strength, mix consistency, and material properties through laboratory experience or field testing.
- Monitor masonry work and ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Document inspection findings accurately through detailed reports, photographs, and checklists; communicate issues promptly to project teams.

Qualifications

We are building a world-class operation—and we are looking for a senior leader to own and elevate our engineering and drafting function.
This is not a production drafter role. This is a leadership position.
Role PurposeLead and professionalize AWM’s drafting and engineering department. Own the translation of design intent into precise, buildable shop drawings that drive fabrication and installation success.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join our Corporate Engineering team in Medley, FL. This position will be responsible for providing technical support and engineering assistance to all TA facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assets Maintenance
- Perform periodic inspection and auditing of all TA facilities to review condition and propose any additional inspections, necessary repairs and/or upgrades of existing structures
- Keep track of any regulatory changes and building codes for all locations of TA operations project related work
- Provide Structural Engineering support to the Project Management team during design and construction phases of new installations
- Provide input to Project Managers regarding budget and time schedule preparation of major projects
- Supervise site and soil survey works to assist in the proper design and engineering of foundations
- Assist during the permitting and site development phases
- Ensure code compliance of all new buildings and installations and work with Project Managers to issue all necessary building and occupancy permits
- Assist in preparation of all necessary scopes of work for all foundation, concrete, steel, and structural works of major projects. Participate in the evaluation process for the selection of the proper design and construction firms
- Provide supervision during major and critical phases of a project related to Structural Engineering works
Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Structural Engineering is required
- 3-5 years’ experience in Structural Engineering positions preferably in heavy industrial installations
- Knowledge of Project Management and CAD packages will be considered a plus.
- Knowledge of structural design software packages will be considered a plus
- Professional license in any State will be considered a plus

In this Systems Engineer role, you may support some of the following types of activities:

Perform Test Planning: Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real-world environments and perform/execute the testing
Integrate Systems: Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality and impact. Perform Platform Integration, Flight Test, Qualification, Design Verification Execution
Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.

Support Missions: Travel as needed to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations.
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience.
Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- This person would train with senior manuscript editors, working with the AMA Manual of Style, reading sections and completing quizzes on style topics.
- They would observe and participate in the daily activities of JNO and specialty journal manuscript editors to get a sense of what the job is like.
- They would meet with Graphics, Production, Proofreading, and other teams with whom manuscript editors collaborate.
- Under the supervision of the Managing Editor and Assistant Deputy Managing Editor, they would edit commentaries with the eventual goal of editing a Research Letter.
