AWM Group is a high-end custom architectural millwork company delivering complex interior environments for luxury residential, hospitality, and commercial projects. We are building a world-class operation—and we are looking for a senior leader to own and elevate our engineering and drafting function.

This is not a production drafter role. This is a leadership position.

Role Purpose

Lead and professionalize AWM’s drafting and engineering department. Own the translation of design intent into precise, buildable shop drawings that drive fabrication and installation success.

Your mission:

Turn design into certainty. Ensure every AWM project is engineered once, correctly, and ready for fabrication and installation.Key Responsibilities

Department Leadership

  • Lead and mentor the drafting / engineering team
  • Establish standards, templates, and QA processes
  • Define workflows that increase speed, clarity, and accuracy
  • Build a scalable engineering system

Project Engineering

  • Own the technical interpretation of architectural intent
  • Review and approve all shop drawings before submittal
  • Resolve constructability issues with architects, PMs, and field teams
  • Anticipate fabrication and installation constraints

Cross-Department Integration

  • Coordinate with Production, Project Management, and Field Operations
  • Ensure drawings reflect real-world tolerances and methods
  • Create feedback loops from shop and field into engineering

Standards & Systems

  • Build AWM’s detail library and best-practice standards
  • Reduce RFIs, rework, and downstream errors
  • Turn drafting into a competitive advantage
Ideal Candidate
  • 8–15+ years in architectural millwork engineering or detailing
  • Deep experience with custom casework, panels, doors, and specialty interiors
  • Expert in AutoCAD (required); Cabinet Vision / SolidWorks a plus
  • Strong understanding of fabrication methods, materials, and installation realities
  • Natural leader and mentor
  • Comfortable working directly with architects and builders
  • Spanish is a plus
Location & Work Style
  • Full-time, in-person role based in Miami, Florida

Job Description

As a Senior Project Engineer at Doka USA, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and management of formwork projects from conception to completion. The Opportunity:


FSEC invites applications for an Undergraduate Summer Research Internship focused on low-carbon methanol production from fugitive methane resources. This internship will take place at M2X Energy Inc. (Rockledge, Florida), where the intern will collaborate with both researchers and industry engineers. All research and hands-on activities will occur at this off-campus sponsor facility.

Responsibilities:


This program focuses on supporting activities related to process development, optimizations and designs of portable, modular gas-to-methanol technologies in partnership with M2X Energy Inc., which involves, but is not limited to:



  • Development and review of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).


  • Creation and support of CAD drawings for equipment layouts, skid assemblies, and process components.


  • Design, assembly, and experimentation with benchtop instruments, including data acquisition and analysis.


  • Basic process control support and maintenance of engineering and manufacturing documentation.


  • Assembly, modification, and operation of flow reactors and adsorption testing systems (such as breakthrough rigs) to generate data for pressure swing adsorption (PSA) modeling and validation.


  • Participation in chemical laboratory experiments and processes, including but not limited to testing adsorbent materials to enhance methane recovery from renewable natural gas streams.


  • Preparation of written and oral reports summarizing experimental results, processes, and findings.



Minimum Qualifications:

Enrollment or recent completion in an engineering or science undergraduate program and basic proficiency in one or more of the following: chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or chemistry with scientific lab work.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience with process diagrams and CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and interpreting or drafting Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).


  • Hands-on experience in bench-scale instrumentation development and experimentation.


  • Familiar with piping assembly, fittings, and gas cylinder handling.


  • Track records with detailed documentation of experimental procedure, SOPs plus good data management skills.


  • Familiarity with data processing, analysis and computing tools such as Excel, Origin, MATLAB and Python.


  • Interest in manufacturing, process engineering and clean technology processes.


  • Hands-on aptitude and comfortable working in a shop, laboratory and/or manufacturing environment.

Position Summary

Skeletal Dynamics is a precision contract manufacturing facility specializing in Class II orthopedic implants (ISO 13485 certified, titanium precision machining). We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to own investigations, drive process improvements, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. This role works alongside our existing Quality Engineer (who owns document control and QMS maintenance) and focuses on the analytical, problem-solving, and process optimization side of the operation.


This is a hands-on engineering role in a fast-paced, technology-forward environment. You will be expected to leverage AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.), data visualization platforms (Power BI), and modern analytics to accelerate your work and multiply your impact. We are a small, high-trust team — you will have real ownership from day one.


Core Responsibilities

Investigations & Root Cause Analysis

  • Lead NCR (nonconformance report) investigations from identification through disposition, including containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
  • Own the CAPA (corrective and preventive action) process — identify systemic issues, develop sustainable corrective actions, verify effectiveness, and close out with full documentation.
  • Conduct structured root cause analysis using 5-Why, Ishikawa, fault tree analysis, and other methodologies appropriate to the failure mode.
  • Interface with customers on quality escapes, investigations, and corrective action responses.

Process Improvement & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify, prioritize, and execute process improvement projects across machining, inspection, and post-processing operations
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and increase first-pass yield.
  • Develop and maintain statistical process control (SPC) programs; monitor Cpk/Ppk and drive process capability improvements.
  • Support process validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) for new equipment, tooling, and process changes.
  • Evaluate and recommend fixture, tooling, and workholding improvements to improve quality and throughput.

Automation & Capital Improvement Projects

  • Evaluate, justify, and lead implementation of automation projects including robotic machine tending, automated inspection, and lights-out manufacturing capability.
  • Develop business cases and ROI analyses for capital equipment and automation investments.
  • Own project management for automation deployments — vendor evaluation, installation, validation, and production handoff.
  • Collaborate with equipment vendors and integrators to define requirements, review designs, and manage timelines.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual handling, improve repeatability, and increase throughput through technology adoption.

Supplier Quality Support

  • Support incoming material inspections and supplier nonconformance resolution.
  • Assist with supplier qualification, audits, and performance monitoring as needed.
  • Collaborate with supply chain on supplier corrective action requests (SCARs).

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards to track quality metrics, NCR trends, CAPA status, scrap rates, and process capability.
  • Use AI tools (Claude, etc.) to accelerate document drafting, data analysis, investigation summaries, and reporting workflows.
  • Present data-driven improvement recommendations to leadership with clear ROI justification.


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 2–3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably medical device or aerospace.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR 820, or equivalent regulated quality management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with NCR/CAPA investigation and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Comfort with AI-assisted workflows — experience using LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT) and a willingness to push the boundaries of how AI tools can be applied in a manufacturing/quality context.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to write clear, audit-ready documentation.


Preferred

  • Experience in CNC machining or precision manufacturing environments.
