Job Description
Uncommon High School Math teachers work in grade teams and content teams to push students towards being self-guided learners. Our teachers become experts in their course content, and have a keen sense of how to motivate and inspire high school students. At the heart of all math classes is a deep joy for mathematics. Math teachers use a variety of instructional strategies to cultivate student awareness of how to make sense of, persevere through, and solve problems. At the conclusion of high school, students are prepared for academic autonomy and college preparatory work.
Responsibilities
1. Instruction
- You'll use a Math curriculum to teach content that may include Algebra, Geometry, or Calculus and prepares students for Advanced Placement (AP) and collegiate level coursework.
- You'll support students as they solve problems and think critically.
- You'll use your love of mathematics to foster confidence and meaningful engagement with the subject for students.
- You'll cultivate the ability to construct and justify viable arguments using reasoning, math vocabulary, tools, and postulates.

Teacher certification is not a prerequisite for consideration at Uncommon Schools in the state of NJ, but you do need to meet NJ state certification eligibility requirements (a final undergraduate or graduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 for graduates on or after 9/1/16, or 2.75 if you graduated prior to 9/1/16). Compensation
Compensation for this role is between $56,000 to $80,000.
Starting pay is determined using various factors including but not limited to relevant full-time teaching experience, education certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools. Candidates without full-time Teaching experience will likely have a starting salary of $56,000.

Key Role Description
Responsibilities primarily involve day-to-day support of pipeline and terminal process control systems and associated applications, including, but not limited to, distributed regulatory control systems (SCADA and LDS systems), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and process history data systems. Responsibilities also include support for the control portion of MIPC pipeline and terminal projects and day-to-day technical support to various other departments within the organization including operations, reliability, and IT. Much of the work is project-orientated and requires working on a number of projects and priorities simultaneously.

* Work with the pipeline controllers to make sure the SCADA application is always providing them the ability to control the pipeline.
* Develops system application specifications utilizing business knowledge and tests developed programs to ensure proper functionality and implementation
* Provide 24x7 support to the Control Center
* Supports other functions such as:
o Communications troubleshooting (primary and backup)
o MIPC IT support
o Maximo programing liaison
o Leak detection support
o IT/PLC critical spare list development
o Cybersecurity training
o Other systems: TopTech, tank gauge system, Omni Flow Computers

* 2-5 years of experience with SCADA/PLC systems
* Gas, and/or Liquids pipeline experience preferred with a working knowledge of measurement technologies, process control automation, device protocols, networking, and telecommunications.
* Strong problem solving, technical, and functional skills with the ability to multi-task.
* Detail-oriented with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and be willing to learn.

Position Summary:
Aro is expanding our Nucleic Acids Chemistry team to design and synthesize novel Centyrin-oligonucleotide conjugate based therapeutics. The focus of this role would be on improving potency, reducing OTEs and creating new IP for Aro's siRNA design. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of how to generate novel and testable oligonucleotide designs to contribute to oligonucleotide-based therapeutic discovery. The position will require hands-on laboratory work. Close collaboration with other members of the Aro team across protein engineering, chemistry and biology is essential. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to efforts that support the company's portfolio of preclinical therapeutic candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform oligonucleotide synthesis from low milligram to gram scale
- Develop and execute clear synthetic strategies towards chemically modified oligonucleotides using state-of-the-art synthetic methodologies
- Optimize existing oligonucleotide synthetic protocols, purification, and analytical methods
- Troubleshoot oligo synthesis issues, maintain lab equipment (Mermade, LCMS, HPLC etc.) and conduct safe lab operations

- Develop and execute clear synthetic strategies towards chemically modified oligonucleotides using state-of-the-art synthetic methodologies
- Optimize existing oligonucleotide synthetic protocols, purification, and analytical methods
- Troubleshoot oligo synthesis issues, maintain lab equipment (Mermade, LCMS, HPLC etc.) and conduct safe lab operations
- HPLC purification and LCMS analysis of synthesized siRNAs and other oligonucleotides
- Maintain up to date, high quality electronic lab notebooks, and quality CoAs
- Regularly present work to internal project teams and R&D Leadership
- Comply with laboratory safety procedures and company guidelines
