This I4.0 Automation role merges technical, manufacturing leadership to drive automation sustainment across Raytheon.  The role has a foundation in controls programming but offers significant opportunities for growth through technical leadership, employee development, and coordination across functions to execute initiatives. The candidate will work in a highly collaborative team of engineers and leaders.  

What You Will Do

• Provide troubleshooting and debug support for 30+ pieces of custom robotic systems around the factory 
• Provide technical leadership through issue resolution  
• Lead sustainment meetings to prioritize issues and track through resolution using Azure DevOps  
• Technical liaison between factory, facilities, and leadership for Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM), spares management, and production sustainment execution 
• Support production prove-in of new automation equipment 
• Provide troubleshooting and debug support for production systems.   
• Contribute to the overall manufacturing technology strategy for the business.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibitedby local laws/regulations or 7+ years with an advanced STEM degree in Engineering. 
• Experience in integrating control systems (i.e. actuators, sensors, controls, robotics, and vision systems). 
• Experience in PLC and HMI programming (Rockwell preferred) 
• Experience programming robots (Fanuc preferred) 
• Knowledge of safety standards and compliance (OSHA, NFPA, RIA) 
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required on day 1 (active or interim).  U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Job Summary:

The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) is within the Test Equipment Engineering Directorate at Raytheon. The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) includes all the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test on all Raytheon products. The Engineering Prototyping & Fabrication department is seeking Electrical Prototyping Inspection Technicians to work in an engineering environment to co-develop engineering hardware in accordance with customer and internal requirements, as well as industry standards. Candidates will collaborate with multi-disciplined design teams across multiple projects to bring design concepts to fruition, providing rapid engineering, fabrication, and prototyping solutions throughout the entire product lifecycle.   

Responsibilities of a Lead Technician:

• Test and inspect complex prototype electrical assemblies and verify compliance to workmanship standards.
• Rely on moderate to extensive experience to interpret drawings, schematics, 3D models, written notes, and specifications.
• Adapt methods and procedures to test, inspect, and troubleshoot new hardware.
• Apply advanced skills to test and inspect complex prototype electrical assemblies.
• Assist in electrical/mechanical engineering drawing peer reviews to validate engineering design specifications in development of producible prototypes.
• Assess complex designs to ensure producibility, maintainability, safety, and reliability.
• Document and communicate test and inspection discrepancies and concerns to customers and collaborate on design improvements.
• Perform other task related duties as required.

 Qualifications You Must Have:

• High school, secondary school, or equivalent with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in an engineering environment inspecting electrical assemblies in three or more of the following areas: cables or wire harnesses, breakout boxes, chassis, circuit card modifications, and racked electronic equipment.
• Previous work experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.

The Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) organization includes all of the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test of all Raytheon products. As a Principal Test Systems Engineer, you are accountable to coordinate across all engineering teams to define, design, and document Test Environment capabilities and requirements.  You must be a systems thinker, able to see the “big picture”, and have the in-depth knowledge of development, production, User Operations, and embedded test process and practices.  As a Test Systems Engineer, you will define and influence how prime hardware will be tested at every level (from component to All-Up-Round) to ensure robustness and efficiency. You need excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work autonomously yet collaboratively in a team environment. You will generate briefings and present material to team members, customers, and Raytheon Management. 

You must demonstrate applied experience and working knowledge of developmental test process, test set-ups and integration, test equipment design with transition to the factory, and verification / validation of product hardware using proven test systems, methodologies, and techniques. The Surface Based Effector Production Department is searching for a Sr. Principal Guidance Section Systems Integrator role on a complex missile program that is critical for our national defense and has near unlimited growth potential.  The Systems Integrator role will work closely with all disciplines associated with missile production including Program Management, Chief Engineers, Quality, Supply Chain and Production Operations to ensure the technical integrity of our products is maintained and performs as intended every time.  The Systems Integrator’s broad knowledge base will be used to lead and/or support failure investigations, obsolescence redesigns, factory escapes, supplier issues and much more.  The ability to calmly but quickly review and analyze information, separate fact from fiction and make decisions and/or recommendations is critical in this role. The Systems Integrator also provides both technical guidance and supervision in meeting project commitments.  Allocating time to mentor newer engineers is also key to the success of the team and program.

• Support integration and test efforts of the All Up Round and related subassemblies for the SM-6 programs
• Provide technical oversight of failure investigations
• Support component level design and test reviews

Qualifications You Must Have:

The Test Equipment Directorate is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test.  We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world.  Typical work involves designing interface assemblies, selection and integration with test instruments and environments, to develop a test system for all Raytheon products.  These core activities may be performed for both lab engineering and factory production test systems.  The candidate will contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development and will be responsible for helping to maintain the technical, cost and schedule aspects of their assigned projects. They will be expected to act, either as a part of their team or independently, to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test products.

What You Will Do:
•    Design, development, and integrate Raytheon test products within Test Equipment in multidiscipline engineering teams
•    Develop both engineering and production test systems, test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawing creation, schematic creation, circuit design and analysis
•    Contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development, and responsible for performing technical, cost and schedule management of assigned projects
•    Act, either as a part of the team or independently, to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test products 

Qualifications You Must Have:
•    Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of two (2) years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree
•    The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
•    Experience with electrical engineering to include troubleshooting, analysis, and test
•    Experience with commonly used electrical engineering design and analysis tools including but not limited to: Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, Creo Schematic
•    Experience with commonly used test equipment including but not limited to: Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Network Analyzers, Power Meters

Qualifications We Prefer:
