Key Responsibilities

Customer Collaboration & Developer Relations

• Serve as the primary technical interface for customers, partners, and indirect channel teams.
• Host technical discussions, requirement? Gathering sessions, and architecture reviews directly with customers.
• Provide developer support, guidance, and best practices for integration and implementation.
• Represent the embedded team in developer? Facing demos, product enablement, and partner technical workshops.
• Translate customer needs into actionable engineering tasks, ensuring platform capabilities align with business goals.

Platform Customization & Embedded Engineering

• Lead the design and implementation of custom features, enhancements, and integrations across our platform.
• Develop application? Layer components and service extensions using Python, Django, and REST? Based APIs.
• Build and integrate customer? Facing portal/UI components in React.
• Leverage AWS services to build scalable, cloud-backed integrations.

Architecture, API & Systems Integration

• Own the documentation and development of APIs, SDKs, and interface design documents (IDDs).
• Ensure seamless integration between on?device components, microservices, and customer systems.

Technical Troubleshooting & Tier?3 Support

• Diagnose and resolve complex issues.
• Provide senior? Level technical escalation support for customers and internal teams.
• Lead root?cause analysis and drive long? Term corrective improvements across the platform.

Project Delivery & Leadership

• Lead customer? Specific development initiatives from ideation through deployment.
• Own timelines, deliverables, and technical direction for customization projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and influence cross? Team engineering best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Expertise in Python, with experience building backend services or integration layers (Django strongly preferred).
• Proficiency in React for developing customer?facing interfaces or partner tools.
• Experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, or related services).
• Strong experience with embedded systems development.
• Experience with API design, interface documentation, and integration workflows.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including customers and indirect channel partners.
• Proven success in customer-facing engineering, developer support, or solutions engineering roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Developer Relations, technical evangelism, or technical account management.
• Experience supporting indirect channel partners, VARs, ISVs, or system integrators.
• Background in pre?sales engineering, partner enablement, or customer?led solution design.

Job Title: MEP Engineer – Capital Projects

Location: North Chicago, IL

Duration: 12 Months (Contract)

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced MEP Engineer – Capital Projects to support the successful execution of capital project initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) installations and systems meet design specifications, performance expectations, and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, compliance knowledge, and hands-on experience in inspection, validation, and documentation within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and document compliance of MEP systems with design specifications, URS requirements, and regulatory standards
• Inspect electrical equipment installations and wiring methods to ensure adherence to approved designs and local code requirements
• Validate installation quality and ensure alignment with vendor specifications and engineering standards
• Review instrument calibration certificates and ensure proper documentation of calibration activities
• Perform loop testing and support commissioning activities for electrical and instrumentation systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and project management to ensure seamless project execution
• Identify and report deviations, non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated industries
• 5+ years of experience in MEP engineering within capital projects or industrial environments
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and wiring standards
• Experience with installation verification, commissioning, and validation processes
• Familiarity with regulatory standards, codes, and compliance requirements (e.g., NEC, GMP environments preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical documentation
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of URS (User Requirement Specifications) and validation lifecycle
• Prior experience working on large-scale capital or greenfield projects
• Certification or training in Six Sigma, Quality Assurance, or related disciplines
