About the Role
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the movement of materials, products, and resources within and outside the manufacturing plant. This role ensures that all logistical operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and industry regulations including both the delivery and receipt of goods. The Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in supporting production schedules, managing inventory, and ensuring timely deliveries to customers and our service department.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods, and the safe and successful loading/unloading of trucks.
- Negotiate with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics service providers to secure cost-effective and reliable transportation and border services.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any transportation and/or border issues that arise.
- Collaborate with the warehouse and production teams to maintain accurate inventory levels and manage stock replenishment utilizing the ERP system.
- Ensure that all inventory is received, and labelled and all movements are accurately recorded in the inventory management system.
- Conduct periodic inventory audits and/or cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies in inventory records.
- Work closely with the purchasing, receiving, production, warehouse, and service teams to ensure that materials and products are processed and labeled in a timely manner and are available as needed on and off-site.
- Coordinate with suppliers to manage lead times, delivery schedules, and order quantities.
- Support production planning by providing accurate and timely information on material availability and delivery status.
- Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including import/export laws, hazardous materials handling, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including shipments, deliveries, and inventory movements.
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency in all areas.
- Implement best practices in logistics management and contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and support lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Act as a point of contact for customers and suppliers regarding logistics inquiries, delivery schedules, and order status.
- Resolve any logistical issues or delays that impact customer satisfaction and communicate updates proactively to the appropriate parties affected.
- Build and maintain relationships with logistics service providers, carriers, customers and suppliers.
- Evaluate the performance of logistics vendors and negotiate contracts to achieve cost savings and improve service quality.

WHO WE NEED
We are seeking a versatile and team-oriented Structural Project Engineer in our Structural Team, ideally located in the Syracuse or Albany, NY area, or at our Endwell, NY office. Candidates located outside the designated office locations may qualify for full remote work, subject to company policy. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. A PE is also required. Experience should include structural analysis, design, and detailing for concrete, steel, and aluminum structures. Experience with cable design is preferred.
The primary duties associated with this position include:
- The candidate should be proficient with the International Building Code (IBC); ASCE-7; ACI 318; ADM-2020; and AISC.
- Performing challenging 3-dimensional structural analyses and designs for a wide variety of clients using various state-of-the-art design software, including RISA 3D, SAP, RAM, and RISA Foundation.
- Responsible for serving as lead project engineer, i.e., taking responsibility for developing design, preparing detailed structural drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT, and specifications. This includes coordinating the work of junior team members and amongst other trades.
- Solving engineering problems using experience, judgment, and education and knowing when to ask for assistance when required.
- Write and review related reports for the services provided.
- Scoping projects and assisting project managers with proposal creation.
- Serving as a Quality Control reviewer for the designs of team members.
- Assisting the Team Leader in initiating, developing, and implementing continuous team improvement initiatives.
- Supporting structural work in our building projects within the Structural Facilities Group as workload warrants.
- Attending client meetings/presentations in the daytime or evenings.
- Communicating with client representatives, contractors, and suppliers.
- Participating in site visits/inspections/documentation during construction.
- Work on a variety of projects including schools, industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and governmental projects.
- This position requires an individual that has strong technical abilities with good organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced market.
Additional duties will include preparing structural designs; prepare structural design summaries and detailed drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT; consider alternate designs and value engineering; and meeting scheduled project deadlines.

WHAT WE OFFER
Hiring Salary Range: $80,000-$110,000 (Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities along with an internal equity and alignment with market area data.)

Core Requirements (Flexibility for Exceptional Candidates):
- JD from an accredited law school and active New York State Bar admission (additional jurisdictions a plus).
- 3+ years of relevant litigation experience, ideally in commercial real estate, landlord-tenant, zoning, or property disputes.
- Strong proficiency in legal research, drafting (motions, briefs), discovery, court appearances, and strategic advocacy in complex matters.
