Completes corrective and planned maintenance work order documentation.

Has authority (based on department guidelines) to order parts and supplies required for emergency service or repair of medical equipment. Recommends test equipment and spare equipment parts to the CE Manager or Lead Technician.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSAssociates of Applied Sciences degree in medical electronics, electronic technology or related field, including comparable military training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
One to two-years experience performing corrective and planned maintenance on medical equipment per policy.
Must have a basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Working knowledge and ability to use basic hand tools and test equipment specific to the field. Ability to train CE associates on use and application of select test equipment.
Must have knowledge and understanding of OSHA, NFPA, The Joint Commission, EOC, FDA and other specific regulations and standards pertaining to clinical equipment service and repair.

Role: Imaging Technican
Type: Contract - 3 Months
Location: Athens, GA
Summary: Individual will be responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diagnostic imaging equipment within a hospital environment. This role ensures imaging systems operate safely, reliably, and in compliance with regulatory standards to support uninterrupted patient care. The technician works closely with radiology staff, biomedical engineering teams, IT, and equipment vendors.
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on imaging systems according to manufacturer and hospital schedules
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues in imaging equipment
- Repair or replace defective components, including circuit boards, power supplies, detectors, and mechanical assemblies
- Calibrate and test systems to ensure optimal performance and image quality
- Maintain service documentation and maintenance logs
Supported Equipment May Include
- X-ray systems (portable and fixed)
- CT scanners

Technology has impacted biomedical equipment in the health field. Bio-medical engineering technicians are needed to perform safety checks, preventive maintenance, calibration and device inventory and validation. In this role with our client you will be collecting data on medical devices currently in the network and entering information into a database. This information will be used to validate and track where all medical devices are being used. You will also install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and verify the performance of complex biomedical equipment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:
- Work with team members to collect and survey medical devices that are currently working within the network.
- Collect data fields on devices like, Serial number, location, medical department, device type and IP Address.
- Enter information into a data base to have a source of truth for all medical devices.
- Validate information in database by comparing against information gathered in the field and making updates to the database.
- Perform performance assurance (PA) inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections (ESI), and operation verification procedures (OVP) on complex and intricate biomedical equipment
- Repair, install, and calibrate complex and intricate biomedical equipment
- Inform supervisors of the status of repairs, scheduled inspections, unusual equipment situations
Requirements

- Interest working in healthcare setting with IT or devices.
- The ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent military training required
