Responsibilities:

We're looking for a Telecommunications Systems Engineer who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients' business.

This position will provide opportunities to lead portions of very large and complex projects as a telecom scope owner working in conjunction with other telecom design professionals and supporting design staff while collectively producing challenging design packages. This is done in coordination with architects and other discipline engineers / design leads all under one design team.

You will interface directly with our client counterparts to design these facilities to meet their needs. Our teams leverage AutoCAD and Revit MEP design software to create fully coordinated 3D models across all disciplines (C,S,A,M,E,P,T,I,L).

Through a mixture of full 3D BIM delivery, construction specifications and 2D sheets, you will help lead the design of everything from Outside Plant (OSP) to inter / intra-building backbone distribution systems, communication room layouts, rack elevations, wired & wireless device plans and cable schedules.

All facets of the designs and calculations will be completed in accordance with the NEC, applicable TIA and other industry standards as well as Client and/or the client specifications as applicable.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge & application of telecommunications industry association (TIA) standards

• Experience leading a telecommunications design team

Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test. Typical work involves designing interface assemblies, selection and integration with test instruments and environments, to develop a test system for all Raytheon products. These core activities may be performed for both lab engineering and factory production test systems. The candidate will contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development and will be responsible for helping to maintain the technical, cost and schedule aspects of their assigned projects. They will be expected to act, either as a part of their team or independently, to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test products.

What You Will Do:

• Design, development, and integrate Raytheon test products within Test Equipment in multidiscipline engineering teams• Develop both engineering and production test systems, test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawing creation, schematic creation, circuit design and analysis• Contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development, and responsible for performing technical, cost and schedule management of assigned projects• Act, either as a part of the team or independently, to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test products

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of two (2) years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. The Mechanical Engineering group in the Shipboard Effectors Department seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer REA (Responsible Engineering Authority) to contribute to the mechanical technical team for a common Guidance Unit (Stack). What You Will Do
Serve as the mechanical engineer to support documentation, mechanical, environmental, structural, and thermal aspects of different stack configurations.

Contribute to a small team of mechanical production REAs supporting mechanical production and development efforts, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with program objectives.

Oversee and manage all mechanical, slice and stack TDP configuration changes, ensuring updates address producibility improvements, yield optimization, and design enhancements.

Lead efforts to analyze and incorporate producibility updates into designs to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce production defects.

Support failure investigations, conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions to resolve systemic mechanical issues.

Job Description:

The Test Solutions Center (TSC) team within the Hardware Discipline Center is a multi-discipline organization that provides test solutions to support production lines for our entire missile portfolio. The software team within TSC is responsible for developing advanced windows application solutions for all Raytheon products. We partner with several Electrical Product Team departments that provide the detailed design of our electrical products as well as systems teams.

The AEGS Department is searching for an Electrical Subsystems Guidance Section (GS) Lead with experience leading a multi-disciplinary system design and integration team. The role of the GS Lead is to lead a cross-functional and cross-discipline team of engineers through the design cycle for development and integration of a guidance section. This role will include Control Account Management (CAM) responsibilities so Earned Value (EV) certification is required.
 

What You Will Do

• Responsible for Technical, Cost, and Schedule Execution.

• Be responsible for the technical integrity of the GS, including the Technical Data Package (TDP) development, validation, and integration

• Manage costs and schedule for GS design, verification, and hardware procurement

• Manage the technical risk for the GS

• Technical oversight of GS failure investigations

• Support component level design and test reviews

• Work environment is primarily in an office, but may include labs, field work, or a combination.

• Assignments may include guiding a team through several phases of hardware systems lifecycle such as designs and analysis; architecting new electronic systems; developing and documenting subsystem requirements and test plans; peer reviews of designs as a subject matter expert; presentations to peers, management, and government customers; and root-cause failure investigations.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations

• Ten years of experience in one or more of the following areas:  

  • RF product and subassembly design, integration, and production support

  • Analog, digital, and power electronics design, integration, and production support

  • Deconvolving high level requirements into actionable design electronics and subsystem architectures

• Experience in RF sub-systems, systems engineering, requirement development, requirement validation, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) Design, RF Test Integration (including RF Test Solutions), and/or RF Supplier Management on an effector-based product

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Prior experience as a technical leader on a complex subsystem during Engineering, Manufacturing, and Development (EMD) Phase

• Advanced degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or related engineering degrees.

• Familiarity with Hypersonic Programs

• Systems engineering thought process with analytical skills background.

• Highly self-motivated individual that can perform multidiscipline work

• Electrical subsystems typically contain antennas, analog RF circuit cards, digital circuit cards, and configurable logic so the ideal candidate will have a background in designing and troubleshooting of one or more of these components. Ideal candidates will also have experience in project leadership, systems engineering and architecture and have a desire to grow to a higher level.

• Able to network / influence outside of the AEGS Department with other design and production support organizations, program leadership, other engineering disciplines and Manufacturing organizations.

• Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with peers, suppliers, management, and customers in a production environment.

• Proven experience in balancing engineering process discipline and innovation for rapid development and program success.

• Experience working with missiles or similar systems.

• Ability to effectively work multiple tasks and priorities.

• Knowledge of mixed signal electronics.

• Practical experience in all phases of the product development lifecycle.

• Experience in developing proposals.

• Experience leading large, complex trade studies

• Experience developing and materializing conceptual designs and integrating them into a system of systems

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
