Position Summary:

The Senior Estimator is responsible for the accurate takeoff and pricing of the work, including all direct and indirect costs for heavy/civil/roadway/marine projects. The Senior Estimator directs all estimators working on the bid, manages the preparation of a pre-bid schedule, and assists with contacting, comparing, and selecting the appropriate subcontractors and vendors, and works closely with the Chief Estimator through bid closeout.

Responsibilities:

• Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near-misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety first, in everything we do.
• Oversee and assist with takeoff and pricing of all direct and indirect cost items associated with the project(s) under his or her direction, through closeout and submission, with all done in full compliance with company processes and procedures.
• Ensure that all bid documents conform with any addenda or modifications.
• Oversee and direct the efforts of those working on the estimate(s).
• Manage preparation of the pre-bid schedule.
• Ensure that proper subcontractor and vendor coverage is obtained for the bid, especially DBE coverage.
• Suggest and arrange any pre-bid testing that will increase the accuracy of the bid.
• Ensure that the integrity of the bid files and process is always maintained.
• Ensure that labor rates, bond rates, insurance, and any other job-specific information in HCSS is properly set up and maintained.
• Work with the Chief Estimator and the estimating staff through bid submission.
• Assist with the budget preparation, DBE selection and documentation on successful projects.
• Chair Project Turnover Meetings for new projects.

Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of HCSS is a prerequisite.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or construction-related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of complex highway, piling, bridge and marine construction experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory estimating position working on projects valued in excess of $50 million.
• Minimum of 2 years of design/build experience with large public heavy/civil projects.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Experience with computerized takeoff and/or design programs.
• Ability to lead in a fast-paced, challenging environment as an integral part of a team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Full lifecycle global implementations of Oracle HCM with a focus on: ORC, Talent/Learning Management
• Hands-on configuration working with functional set up manager across Cloud modules
• Leverage Apps Associates project templates, methodology and practices to lead project and guide client teams
• Owning project deliverables and client communications to optimize project timeline
• Collaboration with multi-national team to progress internal and external initiatives
• Independently tackles activities and assignments and delegates to teammates, as appropriate, to achieve streamlined implementation approach
• Connecting Oracle Fusion to 3rd Party solutions via native integrations, extracts, and middleware
• Translating the technical and the functional for all project team members – customer and internal
• Serve as a conduit and champion of change and business transformation
• Demonstrate experience and expertise in the design and execution of implementation and testing, executive and internal communications and the ability to work independently
• Develop work plan, follow and deliver in line with Fusion Implementation Roadmap and Methodology
• Lead groups in business process re-engineering, best practices and customization issues. Shares suggestions and knowledge capital to help optimize implementation methodology
• Lead business process workshops and requirements gathering sessions to support clients in defining relevant processes
• Analyze business requirements and develop effective configuration solutions.
• Drive and document business requirements and procedures, obtain sign off to ensure Client alignment of proposed solution
• Provide inputs to the assigned Project Manager to ensure a comprehensive project plan developed and buy-in from key client stakeholders. Support the implementation of the technical and functional work stream
• Responsible for successful testing of developed solution including System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing and work with the users to validate the solution
• Document and track customer product enhancement requests and discovered bugs
• Able to coordinate with Oracle for SRs, new product releases, ability to coordinate upgrades/patches/fixes
• Seek opportunities to streamline and optimize internal and external processes
• Responsible for advanced internal initiatives and mentorship for the betterment of the Practice

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree or requisite experience preferred
• 3-4 years of consulting experience or 7-9 years of applicable work experience, specifically within Oracle Cloud Recruiting (ORC), Talent and/or Learning Management.
• Professional attitude, with a growth mindset seeking to drive change and improvement in all aspects of the role
• Experience implementing projects using Agile Iterative approach
• Understanding of Oracle design best practices and standard business process flows
• Ability to meaningfully articulate terminology, processes, functionality, and architecture
• Oracle certification(s) preferred, with the ability to acquire and maintain various additional certifications
• Self-motivated and independent with the ability to effectively listen and communicate

Project Superintendent – Heavy Highway Construction

Massachusetts (multiple project sites)

$90,000 – $120,000 + bonus + benefits

A leading heavy civil contractor in the Northeast is looking to appoint a Project Superintendent to oversee highway and infrastructure construction projects across Massachusetts.

This is a field-based leadership role responsible for managing crews, subcontractors, and project delivery on complex roadway and paving projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

The Role

As Project Superintendent, you will take ownership of the day-to-day site operations on heavy highway construction projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising field crews, subcontractors, and vendors on active construction sites
• Planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely and in compliance with regulatory standards (OSHA, traffic control requirements, etc.)
• Managing daily job progress, documentation, and reporting
• Monitoring productivity, costs, and project performance
• Coordinating materials, equipment, and workforce requirements
• Maintaining communication with project managers, clients, and internal teams
• Participating in project planning, estimating, and bid support
• Ensuring quality control standards and contractual obligations are met

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience supervising heavy civil or highway construction projects
• Strong experience managing field crews and subcontractors
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications
• Knowledge of DOT construction standards and roadway projects
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible schedules including night work when required

Preferred

• Experience working on state DOT highway projects
• Background in asphalt paving, roadway rehabilitation, or heavy civil construction
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar (preferred but not essential)
