Position Outline
Due to the continued growth and expansion of our business, we are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Distribution Technician based in our Freeport, Texas office
The Distribution Technician will be assigned onsite at client location in Freeport, Texas.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Performs necessary work and tasks in inspecting, loading, and unloading tank wagons and rail cars; and performs necessary work and tasks to unload, fill, and load drums. 40% time
- Maintains current, detailed knowledge and understanding of all shipping equipment, chemicals that are loaded or unloaded, and contents of Shipping Procedures. 35% time
- Maintains and records all inventory changes and performs all necessary work and tasks for the blending of products. 10% time
- Records all loading and other necessary data and input information into the appropriate computer systems. 5% time
- Monitors safe handling, identification, storage, and removal of hazardous waste streams resulting from loading and production activities. 5% time
- Completes compliance and operating checklists and participates in the site’s efforts at pollution prevention and continuous improvement. 5% time
- Monitors efforts in the site to ensure compliance with all elements of Process Safety Management and the client Product Stewardship Initiatives. 5% time
- Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives.
- Work collaboratively with client and Taurus team members with different backgrounds and perspectives.
- Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by client distribution lead tech.
- Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by client and Taurus company.

Job Title: EH&S Lead
Overview: Supports the Poly 6 rebuild project in Freeport TX. Leads site or hub Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) compliance and drives implementation of the safety management system across multiple disciplines, including health and safety (H&S), environmental protection, air and water quality, and industrial hygiene. Ensures ongoing “license to operate” for the facility by maintaining adherence to relevant regulations and standards. This role requires expanded conceptual and practical knowledge in EH&S and broad capabilities across various compliance areas.
Responsibilities / Duties:
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of global EH&S management systems across assigned site/hub.
- Drive EH&S performance improvement initiatives for plant(s), site, hub, and related business units.
- Coordinate, implement, and optimize EH&S compliance programs and initiatives across the site/hub.
- Participate in incident investigations and support the corrective action process for EH&S issues and improvement opportunities.
- Conduct central review of EH&S-related documents and submittals to ensure uniformity and compliance with corporate goals.
- Perform Requirements Management Work Process (RWMP) roles as assigned.
- Initiate and support Management of Change (MOC) processes for EH&S programs and compliance matters.

A leading petrochemical company is currently seeking a skilled, knowledgeable Process Safety professional with a strong background in PSM or process engineering. This is a boots-on-the-ground position. This person will be involved at the jobsite level and performing critical PSM compliance audits and related analyses.
Travel across terminals in South Houston (Freeport/Lake Jackson, TX) and Louisiana is required in this position. This could range from once a month to a few weeks at a time.
The Role:
- Support and implement the standardization of the PSM program across multiple sites.
- Perform PHAs (process hazard analyses), including LOPA and HAZOP.
- Act as PSM resource across multiple sites - driving culture and providing technical subject matter expertise.
- Grow and support the RMP (risk management plans).
- Lead incident investigations, audits, and SHEQ initiatives.
The Candidate:
- Minimum of 5 years of Process Safety experience - ideally in a petrochemical manufacturing environment.
- PSM professional with a strong familiarity with the 14 steps.
- B.S. in a related field preferred - ideally Chemistry.

Creates job packages from the work order scope which contains all of the information regarding required labor material and services to ensure safe, effective and efficient execution of the work. Requires advanced skills and expertise in a range of processes, procedures, and systems, and or specialized technical expertise within an analytical scientific method or operational process to perform a broad range of complex work assignments. May act as a working team lead, providing subject matter guidance and coordinating work of others.
Responsibilities Duties:
- Uses feedback from the person doing the work to optimize the work plans.
- Reviews work orders for technical completeness and returns work orders to gatekeeper, if not complete.
- Carries out field checks, when needed.
- Prepares job package and inputs plan into Global Engineering and Maintenance Tracking System (GEMTS) indicating the required resources, materials, and services.
- Identifies task activities necessary to execute job plan and identifies materials tools equipment required to perform tasks.
- Identifies solicits safety information and requirements necessary to safely perform tasks.
- Supports Maintenance Procedure Use Policy by ensuring all job packages include a procedure or the task is on the Procedure Exemption list before the job package is released. Checks that all Maintenance Procedures include a hazard assessment.
- Serves as a technical resource during procedure creation and review, as needed. Creates, develops, changes, updates job procedures and checklists, and initiates procedure Management of Change (MOC), as required.
Experience:
- Short-Cycle Tertiary Degree (i.e. Associate's Degree) plus maintenance, manufacturing or other related experience. In lieu of degree, equivalent years of experience required.
- SAP & Microsoft Office (especially Power Point) Experience required.
