The Independent Operator Role
The Independent Operator (IO) is a hands-on, entrepreneurial role where individuals take ownership of their Grocery Outlet store. Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint 4.

Familiarity with fund accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, payables coding, and foreign exchange calculations 6.
Experience with Yardi or equivalent software is a must 7.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment, both independently and as part of a team 8.

Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills 10.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a firm grasp of individual project details 11.

Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.
