The Test Equipment Directorate is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world. Typical work involves designing interface assemblies, selection and integration with test instruments and environments, to develop a test system for all Raytheon products. These core activities may be performed for both lab engineering and factory production test systems. The candidate will contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development and will be responsible for helping to maintain the technical, cost and schedule aspects of their assigned projects. They will be expected to act, either as a part of their team or independently, to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test products.

This position will be onsite in Tucson, Arizona

This role will work Second Shift: 4PM-4AM Monday through Friday

What You Will Do:

• Design, development, and integrate Raytheon test products within Test Equipment in multidiscipline engineering teams• Develop both engineering and production test systems, test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawing creation, schematic creation, circuit design and analysis• Contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development, and responsible for performing technical, cost and schedule management of assigned projects• Act, either as a part of the team or independently, to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test products

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of two (2) years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.• Experience with electrical engineering to include troubleshooting, analysis, and test• Experience with commonly used electrical engineering design and analysis tools including but not limited to: Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, Creo Schematic• Experience with commonly used test equipment including but not limited to: Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Network Analyzers, Power Meters• Experience using schematic capture tools and interpreting schematics

Job Description:

The Test Solutions Center (TSC) team within the Hardware Discipline Center is a multi-discipline organization that provides test solutions to support production lines for our entire missile portfolio. The software team within TSC is responsible for developing advanced windows application solutions for all Raytheon products. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrating state-of-the-art software solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world. The Software Engineer II position is focused on the design, development, integration, and maintenance of software as a part of on-site factory support of systems to support weapon system product development. The selected candidate will develop applications, libraries, and instrument drivers using the software style, development language, and integrated development environment specified by the organization.

The selected candidate will contribute to multidiscipline engineering teams. Typical work involves the development of both engineering and production equipment, environments, and systems. As such, the candidate will contribute to the completion of all stages of product development for RMD weapon system products. They will be expected to work, either as a part of a team or independently, to design, develop, and implement system level applications in support of producing and maintaining weapon system products.

The multi-disciplined department includes engineers that may be responsible for the following: Designing, modeling/analyzing, and verifying optical components within a sensor/seeker designing the structures that hold the optics, including any mechanisms needed to move optics, as well as the cryogenic systems used to cool and maintain the temperature of EO detectors. Relaying critical detector interface and performance requirements to detector suppliers and verifying requirements are met. Utilize many different engineering discipline skills to assemble, test and verify optical, electrical, and mechanical components as they are built up into the sensor/seeker subsystem

Qualifications You Must Have

Master's degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major.
Experience with Electro-Optical subsystems.
This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.
Ability to develop and present technical briefings.
Current/Active DoD security clearance or SSBI.
Experience in troubleshooting investigations and processes
Experience with test equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control
