Are you a dedicated physician specializing in Internal Medicine Hematology and Oncology ? A premier locum tenens opportunity is available near Arrey, New Mexico, offering an enriching professional experience in a well-supported outpatient setting.
Position Overview: Start Date: February 20, 2025 End Date: May 1, 2025 Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM Weekend call: 24-hour call coverage Weekday call shared with employed providers Practice Setting: Outpatient with occasional inpatient rounding Patient Load: Up to 17 patients per shift Role Responsibilities: Handle patient consultations, questions from RNs, and minimal emergency department consults.
Collaborate with a team of skilled professionals, including RNs and a pharmacist who provides chemotherapy education and starts.
Work closely with the radiation oncology department housed under the same roof.
Requirements: Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology Licensure: Active New Mexico medical license preferred (licensing costs not reimbursed) Certifications: BLS required Fellowship training is preferred.
Additional Details: Call Response Time: 20 minutes Support Staff: Includes one medical assistant and several RNs.
Facility uses the Mosiaq EMR system.
