Job Title: Lead Design Engineer
Location: Tallassee, AL
Tata Technologies is seeking a Lead Designer to drive the structural design and integration of fuselage and wing components for utility aircraft using 3DEXPERIENCE tools. Dimension of Function
Accountable for leading the design and development of fuselage and wing structures using Catia v5 and 3DEXPERIENCE platforms. Contacts
Works in close coordination with design, stress, manufacturing, and certification teams. Interfaces with project leads, suppliers, and regulatory authorities to ensure alignment, timely delivery, and compliance with program requirements.
Area of Responsibility
- Lead structural design activities for fuselage and wing assemblies under multiple load cases.
- Author, review, and approve CAD models, drawings, and design documents ensuring compliance and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with Stress Analysis team to validate and refine structural concepts.
- Drive design optimization for weight reduction, performance improvement, and cost-effectiveness.
- Apply expertise in metallic and composite materials to achieve efficient, durable, and certifiable structures.
- Conduct quality checks of design deliverables to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Interface with certification authorities to align with FAR 23 & FAR 27 requirements.
- Support prototype build, ground tests, and flight test campaigns to confirm design intent.
Knowledge / Experience
- 10+ years of experience in aerospace structural design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace / Mechanical Engineering
- Strong proficiency in CATIA V5, ENOVIA, and 3DEXPERIENCE.
- Well versed with composite modelling best practices and design principles.
- Deep understanding of both composite and metallic structures.
- Hands-on experience in structural weight optimization and material trade-offs.
- Familiarity with aerospace certification standards (FAR 23 & FAR 27).
- Exposure to eVTOL or UAV platforms is an advantage.
- Demonstrated project leadership, documentation, and presentation skills
Job Title : Nuclear Engineer (Naval Reactors Engineer) Category / Component : Officer • Active Overview Design, regulate, and oversee the Navy's nuclear propulsion program, including reactor design, fleet operations, and eventual defueling and decommissioning of nuclear powered ships and submarines from Naval Reactors Headquarters and associated Department of Energy laboratories and shipyards.
