The Project Manager – Restoration is responsible for leading complex restoration, preservation, and adaptive reuse projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role requires a strong understanding of historic building systems, restoration methodologies, and the ability to manage work in sensitive, occupied, or historically significant environments. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, consultants, and trade partners while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Manage restoration and preservation projects from preconstruction planning through final completion
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, procurement plans, and work plans
- Lead project teams including superintendents, subcontractors, consultants, and internal support staff
- Coordinate sequencing and logistics for projects with complex phasing, tight access, or occupied conditions
Restoration & Preservation Expertise
- Oversee work involving historic masonry, stone, terra cotta, façades, structural stabilization, and specialty restoration scopes
- Collaborate closely with preservation architects, engineers, conservators, and regulatory agencies
- Ensure compliance with historic preservation standards, project specifications, and applicable guidelines
- Identify existing conditions, assess risk, and proactively resolve unforeseen field conditions
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary client contact, building trust through clear communication and proactive problem-solving
- Lead owner meetings, consultant coordination meetings, and internal project reviews
- Prepare and present project updates, cost forecasts, and schedule milestones
Financial & Contract Management
- Manage contracts, change orders, pay applications, and cost reporting
- Track project costs and forecast financial performance throughout the project lifecycle
- Support estimating and preconstruction efforts on restoration pursuits as needed
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Champion jobsite safety and ensure adherence to company and regulatory safety standards
- Implement quality control processes specific to restoration and preservation work
- Ensure projects meet contractual requirements, technical standards, and client expectations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of project management experience, with a strong emphasis on restoration, preservation, or renovation work
- Proven experience managing complex construction projects with specialty trades
- Strong understanding of historic building materials, construction techniques, and restoration best practices
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Location & Travel Details: This location-based position encompasses worksites throughout the assigned project area (Central, IL) and requires an average of 50% travel (e.g. 2 weeks or 10 days per month). A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided. When overnight travel is required, meals and lodging will also be provided.

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Health Care Technician (HCT) functions as a support to the licensed nursing staff and performs activities related to the personal care and hygiene needs of an assigned patient group. Facilitates communication with other departments, visitors, patients, medical staff and employees. Serves as a public relations liaison for the unit. Works under the direct supervision of the nursing manager.
Qualifications
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)American Heart Association (AHA)American Heart Association (AHA), Education: H.S. Diploma/GED (Required), Work Experience: At least one semester of nursing clinical experience; Worked as CNA within past 24 months; Successful completion of Carle's HCT In Training Program; Relevant medical military training; Completion of CNA coursework within past 24 months; Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Responsibilities
Assists with the maintenance of unit supplies to ensure the smooth function of the unit, including stocking nurse servers, cleaning instruments and equipment, ordering supplies, and making up charts. Collects data on assigned patients as directed by Registered Nurse (RN) and ensures accurate documentation. Demonstrates competency in selected psychomotor skills as outlined in the skills checklist including: measurement of vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, and measuring and recording intake and output. Performs or assists patients with the activities of daily living. Prepares patients for transportation and/or transport. Completes the unit specific HCT Safety Checklist at the beginning of each shift Receives delegated responsibilities from RN each shift and maintains close communication during shift regarding completion of tasks/responsibilities Completes and documents basic patient care independently: including but not limited to baths, vital signs, accuchecks and meal trays Maintains patient safety as the highest priority level: ensuring safety measure compliance such as fall precautions, pressure ulcer prevention, isolation precautions and patient ambulation safety Maintains a positive attitude at all times on unit that promotes a healthy work environment and a healing patient environment Keeps a diligent focus on prompt answering of patient call lights to ensure effective triage and completion of patient requests/medical needs

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $17.89per hour - $28.98per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
