POSITION TITLE: Associate Trainer, Technical

REPORTING TO: Manufacturing Excellence Manager

LOCATION: St. Albans, VT

About the role:

The Associate Technical Trainer supports the development, delivery, and maintenance of training programs that build employee capability and improve performance. This role updates and creates training materials, delivers handson instruction, evaluates training effectiveness, and partners with Management, Cell Structure Teams (CSTs), and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy and alignment with organizational standards and processes. It also evaluates training effectiveness and recommends improvements to strengthen overall workforce capability.

SHIFT HOURS: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm with flexibility to change schedule as needed as we are a 24/7 facility.

Key responsibilities include:

• Observe all safety, sanitation, GMP and HACCP requirements
• Facilitate training sessions for Standard Work, SOPs, and Work Instructions.
• Provide hands on coaching for new hires and employees transitioning to new positions.
• Support off-shift training needs through scheduled check-ins and meetings.
• Monitor training progress, document completion, and ensure timely trainer/trainee signoffs.
• Maintain SOPs and training content within the Poka system.
• Develop, update, and improve Standard Work documentation.
• Collaborate with CSTs to capture video and photo content for training materials.
• Keep the Training Skills Matrix and OJTs accurate and current for all positions.
• Partner with Trainers and Supervisors to schedule, assign, and track training activities.
• Collaborate with the People & Capability Pillar to prioritize training needs and floor development activities.
• Perform administrative duties such as printing, organizing materials, and tracking completion records.
• Conduct routine check-ins and training audits to verify quality and adherence to standards.
• Ensure training progression is on schedule and meets the needs of each trainee.
• Evaluate trainer effectiveness and provide feedback for improvement.
• Deliver and coordinate a Train-the-Trainer program to standardize trainer capability.
• Follow and reinforce all Safety, Sanitation, GMP, and HACCP requirements.
• Attend additional internal and external training as assigned.
• Day Shift position but must be able to work a flexible shift to accommodate our 24/7 facility.

About you:

• Associates Degree in related field, preferred
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a Trainer - familiar with Training Within Industry (TWI) and using software to develop training skills and documentation, preferred
• Facilitation/presentation skills
• Working experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred
• Must be self-motivated and able to work in a team-oriented environment with an emphasis on total customer satisfaction
• Detail oriented and accurate

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site position in Woodstock, VT for a Director of Nursing in Long-Term Care. We are seeking a compassionate, experienced Director of Nursing to oversee and manage nursing operations, ensuring quality care and compliance with regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, ensuring compliance with state LTC regulations, managing staffing, scheduling and performance development, coordinating with medical professionals, administrator and families to develop and optimize patient care plans, and ensuring the overall efficiency of the long-term care facility. The Skilled Nursing Center Site Administrator (SA) is responsible for creating and maintaining an environment providing high-quality clinical care in a homelike setting while assuring operations meet applicable policies and procedures, and the federal and state regulations that govern long-term care facilities. This individual is a champion for long-term and post-acute care services, combining expertise with compassion in service to the needs of residents, families, and the staff who work within the center. Specifically, the SA will assist in the continuous improvement and evolution of post-acute and long-term care services within UVM Health Continuing Care in response to new or unmet community needs.

Education, Licensure, and Certification

• Vermont and/or New York Nursing Home Administrator License.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position provides advanced technical skills in performing and analyzing various clinical laboratory tests and procedures. Responsibilities include independently applying clinical laboratory techniques in the performance of test procedures to obtain reliable diagnostic results from patient specimens.

Performs phlebotomies and processes specimens in a safe, accurate and professional manner. Responsible for accurate, immediate reporting of test results, identifying, troubleshooting and resolving problems, instrument maintenance, documentation of problems, and following safe laboratory practices. Interacts with all types of patients, volunteers, and coworkers in a pleasant, efficient and cooperative manner. Monitors patient results for unexpected reactions and responds to emergency situations as required. Provides and receives constructive feedback from laboratory leadership members. Works with laboratory and hospital staff to provide efficient and timely collections and reporting of results. The ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient’s age-specific needs is required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
B.S. degree in Medical Technology or HEW certified Medical Technologist according to CLIAA 88 standards. ASCP or AMT certified within 6 months of hire.

EXPERIENCE:
6 months to 1 year to be proficient to work on-call.

SCHEDULE:

This is a float position on day and evening shifts and includes one weekend per month.

Pay Transparency:
