Shift: Days with Call
Essential Functions:
Administers nursing care to patients; included assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient’s care plan in coordination with the physician during imaging procedures. Transports patients and gives appropriate reports to ancillary areas.
Provides care to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Interacts with patients, both pre and post invasive procedures for history, instructions/teaching, and post procedure follow-up. Provides patient/family or caregiver education and counseling in recognition and solution of physical, emotional, and environmental health problems.
Responsible for all medical supplies/equipment being available and in proper working condition in the department including EKG monitors, crash cart, medications (routine, emergency, narcotics), suction, O2 , Ambu bags, airways, E.T. tray and other related supplies in the Medical Imaging Department.
Minimum Qualifications:
Possession of a current or compact state licensure as a registered nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa

Essential Key Job Responsibilities:
Delivers assigned patient care and treatment as delegated by an RN or LPN.

Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an accredited registered nursing program.
Must be 18 years of age.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Operating Room experience preferred.
Basic Life Support certified within six (6) weeks of hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

We care for various types of patients including but not limited to cardiac arrest, DKA, vascular, sepsis, overdoses, and more. Additionally, we perform CRRT for our renal failure patients. We provide continuing education to keep our nurses up to date with critical care topics and have monthly Education Forums with our intensivist to discuss current topics related to our ICU. Responsibilities include:

Completes a Nursing Assessment form on each patient within 24 hours.

GENERAL 1.1.
SERVICES REQUIRED/ PROVIDED: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) requires a Contractor to provide psychiatric services at the Des Moines VA, 40 hours per week.
The Contractor shall provide Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist(s) Although the ABPN does not recognize the term Board eligible, we use and define the term as graduating from a psychiatric residency and having a valid license to practice medicine.) on site in accordance with the specifications contained herein to beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and VA Central Iowa Health Care System, Des Moines Iowa (VACIH Des Moines).
1.2.
PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: Contractor shall furnish services, and all work will be performed at the VA CENTRAL IOWA Health Care System (VA-CIHCS) th Street Des Moines, Iowa 50310: Hours, generally 0800 to 1620 Monday thru Friday, with a half hour lunch.2.
QUALIFICATIONS: 2.1.
Facility Information: The Central Iowa VA Health Care System services Veterans from all over central Iowa bringing together quality care and services designed to meet the needs of our nations Veterans.
The main medical center is in Des Moines, and we have six CBOCs (Community Based Outpatient Clinics) and one CRRC (Community Resource and Referral Center) that deals with the homeless populations in the area.
Our Mental Health program provides consultation, evaluation, and treatment for a variety of issues that can impact emotional well-being.
Staffing: The Mental Health Department has various mental health professionals to go about daily operations of the service line.
This contract is for psychiatry services needed.
2.1.1 LICENSE: Contract psychiatrist(s) assigned by the Contractor to perform the services covered by this contract shall have a current license to practice psychiatry/medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
(Special Note: For procurements that require a Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration, contract providers must have a medical license as stated above, be individually registered with the DEA (which is Federal), and have correct controlled substance licenses according to the state in which they are licensed.
For example: If a psychiatrist has a medical license from the State of Iowa, then that prescribing provider must have a Controlled Substance License from Iowa to prescribe controlled substances.
If a psychiatrist has a license from another state, they must follow DEA and the licensing states guidance in regards to holding a controlled dangerous substance license.

All licenses held by the personnel working on this contract shall be full and unrestricted licenses.
Contract psychiatrists who have current, full and unrestricted licenses in one or more states, but who have, or ever had, a license restricted, suspended, revoked, voluntarily revoked, voluntarily surrendered pending action, or denied upon application may or may not be considered for the purposes of this contract.
Contractor staff must submit evidence of at least one full, active, current and unrestricted licensure, registration, certification, and/or other relevant credentials, for verification prior to appointment and throughout the employment process, as requested by the COR.
Such personnel shall be subject to review by the VA Chief of Staff and approval by the VA Director.
Current copies of all licenses shall be provided to the VA with bid or upon request.
Contractor is responsible for keeping the VA COR apprised of anything that would adversely affect or otherwise limit their clinical privileges.
Note: Failure to keep VA fully informed on these matters may result in administrative or disciplinary action.
2.1.2 BOARD CERTIFICATION /ELIGIBILITY: All contract psychiatrists SHALL BE BOARD CERTIFIED in Psychiatry and be currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
Although the ABPN does not recognize the term Board eligibile, we use and define the term as graduating from a psychiatric residency and having a valid license to practice medicine.
All continuing education courses required for maintaining certification must be kept up to date at all times.
Documents verifying the current certification or graduation status shall be provided by the Contractor to the VA COR on an annual basis for each year of contract performance.
2.1.4 TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Contract psychiatrists shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the governments requirements, including the ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently.
Contractor shall provide documents upon submitting bid package or at the request of the CO/COR to verify current and ongoing competency, skills, certification and/or licensure related to the provision of care, treatment and/or services performed.
Contractor shall provide verifiable evidence of all educational and training experiences including any gaps in educational history for all contract psychiatrists, and contract psychiatrist shall be responsible for abiding by the Facilitys Medical Staff By-Laws, rules, and regulations (referenced herein) that govern medical staff behavior.
2.1.5 CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION(CME)/CERIFIED EDUCATION UNIT(CEU) REQUIREMENTS: Contractor shall provide the COR copies of current CMEs as required or requested by the VAMC.
Contractors registered or certified by national/medical associations shall continue to meet the minimum standards for CME to remain current.

Under the general direction of the Director of Research Operations, Compliance and Strategy, the Associate Director of Research Programs and Compliance supports the coordination and administration of research services and compliance functions across the university. This position contributes to the development and implementation of research compliance initiatives, health and safety programs, and activities related to laboratory and animal facility operations. The role assists in ensuring adherence to federal, state, sponsor, and institutional requirements governing research activities, including IBC, Radiation Safety, IACUC and IRB. Responsibilities include participation in delivering compliance training, supporting risk mitigation efforts, and providing scientific merit and science-related review to assess protocol alignment with regulatory, safety, and institutional quality expectations.
What you’ll do:
· Compliance Coordination: Partner with leadership to coordinate institutional compliance programs for IBC, Radiation Safety, IACUC, and IRB.
· Health & Safety Management: Oversee research laboratory and animal facility safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA, NIH, CDC, and other standards.
· Research Program Management: Support faculty and student research initiatives while promoting integrity and compliance best practices.
· Training & Education: Design and deliver compliance training for faculty, staff, and students on biosafety, radiation safety, and animal care regulations.
· Scientific Review & Research Quality: Conduct scientific and compliance reviews of research protocols, grant applications, and student projects to ensure best practices.
· Leadership & Collaboration: Provide supervision, strategic planning, and serve as a liaison across the university to advance research infrastructure and compliance.

What we are looking for:
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., research administration, life sciences, public health)
· 5+ years of experience in research administration or compliance, including knowledge of federal regulations (e.g., Uniform Guidance, FDA, USDA, NIH) and health/safety standards.
· Experience with scientific review and research laboratory operations, including wet laboratories and animal care facilities.
· Strong organizational and project management skills.
· Ability to interpret complex regulations and provide sound judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
· Advanced degree (master’s or PhD) in a relevant discipline such as research administration, life sciences, biomedical sciences, public health, or a closely related field preferred.
· Experience administering IBC, Radiation Safety, IACUC, IRB, and health/safety programs in an academic or healthcare research setting.
· Familiarity with electronic research administration systems.
· Radiation safety training and certification as required by institutional policy or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
· Certified IRB Professional (CIP) preferred.
· Certified Professional IACUC Administrator (CPIA) preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
· Biosafety-related certifications preferred; willingness to pursue if assigned.
· OSHA Laboratory Safety Certification preferred.
· AALAS certification is preferred for animal care oversight.

Responsibilities:

- Demonstrate a strong understanding that the salon/spa industry is “high touch” and requires strong interpersonal skills and attention to the needs of others
- Provide ongoing recognition, support, and motivation for students and peers
- Serve as a role model by communicating and enforcing policies and procedures, safety, sanitation and security standards, the Code of Conduct, and the dress code
- Help maintain a cohesive, cooperative work environment through team building and motivation
- Work continuously to create and nurture strong working relationships with others
- Effectively implement and sustain Aveda curriculum initiatives in course curriculum and service cycle on the clinic floor
- Prepare lesson plans in advance, in a way that reflects current industry standards and is in line with approved education materials
- Actively engage students in their education through demonstrations, activities and interactive teaching
- Continually check with students for understanding of subject matter and adjust teaching methods to ensure all students are active participants
- Coach students to meet service and retail goals; educate students on products
- Utilize clinic floor and classroom processes according to Institute guidelines and timeframes; ensure safe and sanitary practices by students when practicing or demonstrating technique
- Ensure that all waste materials are recycled in the proper fashion as dictated by local laws and Company guidelines
- Consistently apply Aveda technical standards at all times
- Partner with Director and Education Manager to ensure compliance with all NACCAS and State Board regulations
- Assist with ensuring strong student outcomes including graduation 90%, licensure 95% and placement 90%
- Maintain academic records consistent with Institute guidelines and ensure all grades are recorded and turned into the Student Success team within each phase of the program; ensure continuous evaluation is given to students regarding performance in theory, practical, clinic floor experiences, etc.
- Ensure you communicate all student challenges to all members of leadership, collaborate and work towards a solution
- Enforce policies and procedures set forth in the Student Handbook; ensure that students comply with Institute set directives; follow and help implement all branded visual presentation standards and guidelines
- Address student challenges in an effective and timely manner; counsel and assist students in resolving issues
- Ensure Aveda Rituals are performed on every guest; demonstrate an understanding of the actions, values, and behaviors that constitute a strong guest care culture
- Identify and resolve guest and student issues and/or requests in an efficient and timely manner
- Schedule and pre-book guest appointments as needed
- Work closely with other team members and students to achieve service and retail sales goals; take initiative and accountability for the accuracy of information and for achieving results
- Motivate self and others to overcome obstacles and achieve goals
- Actively participate in Institute events and encourage participation from team members, guests, and students in all Institute events
- Attend conference calls, meetings, and training sessions as required
- Attend at least four (12) hours of continuing instructor education every year, which includes 4 hours of teaching methodology
- Perform duties as assigned and/or required to meet business needs
- Abide by all other Nurtur policies and procedures as outlined in the Team Member Handbook and Code of Conduct
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid state-issued Cosmetology license and the maintenance of such license and continuing education hours
- Minimum of 2 years’ continuous cosmetology experience in a salon required; experience in training staff highly preferred
- Exhibit leadership, time management, organization, self-direction, initiative, resourcefulness, and follow-through with the ability to work at a fast pace and handle multiple tasks and projects at the same time
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Demonstrate extreme professionalism and confidentiality in manner, dress, and conduct
- Ability to set and achieve goals, implement decisions, and work under strict deadlines
- Strong commitment to customer service excellence and to the Company’s mission and vision
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Walk, stand up, and/or sit for up to twelve (12) hours per day
- Use hands to handle objects and reach with hands and arms
- Walk, sit, stand, balance, stoop, speak, and hear
- See a computer screen and read paper and electronic documents
- Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds
- Tolerate a minimal to moderate noise level typical of a school environment

Travel Requirements: The team member in this position must be able to travel locally to events and for out-of-state training and events as necessary.
