The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.

As a highly-skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse in the Med Tele Care Unit you will provide the best possible preventative, supportive, and nursing care to each patient receiving care for acute medical/surgical care of diseases and conditions. In this role: 

• You will provide assessment and planning for individualized patient care.  
• You will respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.  
• You will provide care for the patient in collaboration with the patient/family, with regard to developmental, cultural and age specific differences, develops and implements patient care plans to include problems, goals, evaluations and interventions.  
• You will communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient’s clinical condition and results of diagnostic studies. 
• You will perform nursing duties as needed in the continuum of care for all patients.  
• You will participate in process improvement efforts and activities for the department.  
• You will work collaboratively with Social Service and Pastoral care to support and provide families emotional and end of life resources such as Hospice to facilitate a dignified end.  
• You will act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure. 

• Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse License.

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Surgical Tech contributes to the company’s mission and vision by assisting with the provision of safe and effective nursing care in accordance with a defined scope of practice within the operating room. • Prepare procedure room for use the following day by bringing in equipment, setting up, "pulling cases" accurately, and reporting to supervisor items that are needed and not available

Qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (preferred)
• One year experience in an operating room setting (preferably in an ambulatory surgery center)
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program as required per facility practice and state regulatory requirement; otherwise preferred
