Outside Sales Representative- Industrial Tool Sales

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Sales Executive with a background in industrial tool sales to lead and grow our Los Angeles territory.
This is not an entry-level sales role. The ideal candidate already understands the tool industry, has an existing network, and can immediately begin generating revenue through established relationships and new enterprise accounts.
Our company has over 40 years of experience in tool distribution and currently works with major brands including DeWalt, Milwaukee, and BOSS. We are continuing to expand our product selection and are open to adding additional lines based on the strengths and relationships of the right sales professional.
This role is designed for someone who wants ownership of a territory, the ability to build large accounts, and the opportunity to drive significant revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow enterprise accounts throughout the Los Angeles territory
- Prospect, qualify, and close high-value tool and equipment contracts
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors, distributors, vendors, and procurement teams
- Conduct job site visits, client meetings, and product demonstrations
- Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities within the construction and industrial sectors
- Manage deals with average contract values starting around $50,000
- Target and close six-figure and seven-figure sales opportunities
- Represent major tool brands including DeWalt, Milwaukee, and Bosch
- Work with leadership to expand product offerings based on market demand
Required Experience
- Prior experience selling industrial tools or construction-related products
- Existing book of business within the tool, construction, or industrial supply industry
- Proven experience managing large commercial accounts
- Track record of closing deals with $50,000+ average contract values
- Experience closing six-figure deals preferred
- Ability to operate independently without daily supervision
Candidates without direct tool industry experience will not be considered.
Compensation
- Base salary: $70,000 – $100,000 depending on experience
- Commission structure negotiable depending on experience and deal size
- On-target earnings of $200,000+ for strong performers
- Mileage reimbursement
- Travel expenses covered when supporting larger deals or expanding territory
Work Environment
- Hybrid schedule with 2–3 days per week in the office for prospecting and coordination
- Company-provided computer, phone, and workspace
- Field work including job site visits and in-person client meetings
- Product training provided by major brand partners
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate already has established relationships in the tool or construction supply industry and wants the freedom to manage their territory like a business. This role is best suited for someone comfortable pursuing large deals, managing enterprise accounts, and working independently to drive revenue growth.
