About the School of Computing Instruction at the Georgia Institute of Technology

With more students graduating with a Computer Science degree than any other major at Georgia Tech and the Institute's requirement that every student complete at least one programming course, quality instruction on the foundations of computing has never been more important. The School of Computing Instruction (SCI) was created to serve these critical needs within Georgia Tech and beyond. Our award-winning teaching-focused faculty have three core missions:

Platform for Creativity and Innovation. SCI's creative faculty boldly experiment with new ideas and approaches to pedagogy, while continually re-examining proven methods to ensure their approach is effective and practical across a different set of courses and students. Ultimately, we consider SCI a platform for meaningful experimentation and invite collaborations both within and beyond Georgia Tech to further push the envelope in computing education.

Scalability of Computing Instruction. SCI's faculty design and serve as primary instructors for the College's array of introductory computer science courses, direct the junior design/capstone program for our undergraduate computing majors, and teach a selection of upper-division and graduate level courses that reflect our faculty's varied interests. At the undergraduate level, SCI faculty teach a third of the College's 1000-4000 level course offerings or half of the nearly 9000 undergraduate computing course seats each semester. Further, we reach tens of thousands of GT graduate students and non-GT students through special initiatives, such as MOOCs and the state of Georgia's dual enrollment high school program.

Transparency and Meaningful Dialogue. While the main source of recognition we desire is from the numerous learners our faculty reach, we seek to foster meaningful dialogue and to share what works and what does not work in practice, in order to inspire others to attempt new ideas in computing education. Job Summary

The School of Computing Instruction (SCI) at Georgia Institute of Technology within the College of Computing was recently founded to recognize the significant contributions of CS teaching-track faculty. We invite applications for multiple full-time and long-term faculty positions. The official appointment of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer will be made depending on past teaching experience. Both positions are offered with renewable contracts with an expectation to start in 2025 on Georgia Institute of Technology Atlanta campus. Summer teaching for additional compensation is typically available. In addition, SCI faculty are typically allowed to teach at one of Georgia Tech's multiple study-abroad campuses (Berlin, Barcelona, Metz, etc.) during the summer.

The top candidates will be invited to Atlanta for an on-site interview, which involves giving a sample lecture.



Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to providing high-quality undergraduate teaching, primarily within the technical communications component of the College's capstone design program. Opportunities to teach graduate courses are also available, as candidates will be matched to courses for which they are the best fit. In addition to teaching, there will be an expectation to participate in service at the School, College, and Institute level. Candidates are also encouraged to engage in scholarship and curriculum development. As part of its budget, SCI earmarks funding for these sorts of activities and makes it available to faculty.

The School of Interactive Computing () at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. Applicants will be considered at all ranks.

Beyond our hiring focus areas mentioned above, the 50+ faculty members of the School of Interactive Computing also pursue research on artificial intelligence and machine learning; human-centered computing and cognitive science; information visualization and visual analytics; learning science and technology, and computing education; robotics; computational journalism; ubiquitous and wearable computing; and virtual and augmented environments. The Interdisciplinary Social Sciences Program (ISSP) is the administrative unit that oversees the interdisciplinary majors, minors and graduate programs within the Social Sciences Division of the College of Letters and Sciences at UC Berkeley.



Housed in ISSP, the Master of Computational Social Science (MaCSS) is a new one-year professional master's program that will provide students with practical skills for analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing social data. Social data are data about people, groups, organizations, and their interactions from surveys and censuses, company websites, store loyalty cards, cell-phone records, social media posts, internet searches, etc. MaCSS graduates will be able to work as analysts and data specialists in business, non-profit, and government settings.

Berkeley Summer Sessions & Study Abroad is a part of the division under the leadership of the Dean of Extended Education that also includes University Extension and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.



Summer Sessions, in partnership with UC Berkeley's Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department (EECS), invites applications for a pool of qualified, dynamic instructors with a commitment to Pre-College education in Computer Science, Programming, and Data Science to teach high school students (grades 10-12) in our Berkeley Summer Computer Science Academy. This intensive, non-credit program is offered in-person over 2 weeks during weekdays (June 22, 2026 - July 3, 2026) on the UC Berkeley campus with some online instructional components, such as an Instructor Orientation and a student pre-arrival Welcome Webinar.

Job Summary

The Georgia Institute of Technologys School of Architecture invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at Associate or Full Professor in the School of Architecture in the area of Architecture and Design Computing. The successful candidate will: First, lead the development of research agendas in this area; second, serve as steward for the Eastman Fund to support doctoral students; and third, work with the School Chair and the Dean in order to reshape the mission of the Digital Building Lab (DBL).

The DBL was created by professor Chuck Eastman to address design computation, data standards and interoperability. Over the years it has housed studies in design and construction automation; project delivery systems; and smart buildings, infrastructure and environments, often working in conjunction with the Digital Fabrication Lab which provides a setting for design-build projects for the faculty and the students. The DBL has also fostered collaborations between the faculty of the School of Architecture, the School of Building Construction and the School of Industrial Design, as well as collaborations with the research labs of the faculty including the Shape Computation Lab (SCL) and the High Performance Buildings Lab. Under professor Chuck Eastman, funding came from both successful research applications and from industry memberships. The partnerships with industry fostered and sustained a link between academic research and advances in practice as well as in research internal to major architecture firms. Now is the time to redefine and revitalize the vision and the mission of the lab, taking into account current developments in artificial intelligence, data-based design decisions, and advanced digital modeling of buildings and their performance.



Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the successful candidate include securing and conducting funded research, stewarding the future identity and growth of DBL, mentoring early career researchers, advising PhD students, leading the development of forward-looking curricula for the MS Arch and PhD programs, and teaching advanced graduate courses in candidate's area of expertise.

Candidate must have a terminal professional degree in Architecture or an allied discipline.



Preferred Qualifications

A strong record of publications on architectural and design computation and/or the development of digital technologies applicable to building design and construction; and a strong track record of sponsored research, industry collaboration, and teaching. A Doctoral Degree is preferred. An interest and ability to relate research to studio teaching is welcome but studio teaching is not a requirement for this position.

The Scientific Computing and Data group at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai partners with scientists to accelerate scientific discovery. To achieve these aims, we support a cutting-edge high-performance computing and data ecosystem along with MD/PhD-level support for researchers. The group is composed of a high-performance computing team, a clinical data warehouse team and a data services team.


The Lead HPC Architect, Cybersecurity, High Performance Computational and Data Ecosystem, is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the cybersecurity infrastructure and technical operations of Scientific Computing’s computational and data science ecosystem. This ecosystem includes a 25,000+ core and 40+ petabyte usable high-performance computing (HPC) systems, clinical research databases, and a software development infrastructure for local and national projects. The HPC system is the fastest in the world at any academic biomedical center (Top 500 list).


To meet Sinai’s scientific and clinical goals, the Lead brings a strategic, tactical and customer-focused vision to evolve the ecosystem to be continually more resilient, secure, scalable and productive for basic and translational biomedical research. The Lead combines deep technical expertise in cybersecurity, HPC systems, storage, networking, and software infrastructure with a strong focus on service, collaboration, and strategic planning for researchers and clinicians throughout the organization and beyond. The Lead is an expert troubleshooter, productive partner and leader of projects. The lead will work with stakeholders to make sure the HPC infrastructure is in compliance with governmental funding agency requirements and to promote efficient resource utilizations for researchers


This position reports to the Director for HPC and Data Ecosystem in Scientific Computing and Data.


Key Responsibilities:


HPC Cybersecurity & System Administration:

  • Design, implement, and manage all cybersecurity operations within the HPC environment, ensuring alignment with industry standards (NIST, ISO, GDPR, HIPAA, CMMC, NYC Cyber Command, etc.).
  • Implement best practices for data security, including but not limited to encryption (at rest, in transit, and in use), audit logging, access control, authentication control, configuration managements, secure enclaves, and confidential computing.
  • Perform full-spectrum HPC system administration: installation, monitoring, maintenance, usage reporting, troubleshooting, backup and performance tuning across HPC applications, web service, database, job scheduler, networking, storage, computes, and hardware to optimize workload efficiency.
  • Lead resolution of complex cybersecurity and system issues; provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members.
  • Ensure that all designs and implementations meet cybersecurity, performance, scalability, and reliability goals. Ensure that the design and operation of the HPC ecosystem is productive for research.
  • Lead the integration of HPC resources with laboratory equipment for data ingestion aligned with all regulatory such as genomic sequencers, microscopy, clinical system etc.
  • Develop, review and maintain security policies, risk assessments, and compliance documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with institutional IT, compliance, and research teams to ensure all regulatory, Sinai Policy and operational alignment.
  • Design and implement hybrid and cloud-integrated HPC solutions using on-premise and public cloud resources.
  • Partner with other peers regionally, nationally and internationally to discover, propose and deploy a world-class research infrastructure for Mount Sinai.

  • Experience with all aspects of high-throughput HPC including schedulers (LSF or Slurm), networking (Infiniband/Gigabit Ethernet), parallel file systems and storage, configuration management systems (xCAT, Puppet and/or Ansible), etc.
  • Proficient in cybersecurity processes, posture, regulations, approaches, protocols, firewalls, data protection in a regulated environment (e.g. finance, healthcare).
  • In-depth knowledge HIPAA, NIST, FISMA, GDPR and related compliance standards, with prove experience building and maintaining compliant HPC system

  • Own applied AI research and quickly build into production, particularly focusing on novel AI, computer vision and LLM applications
  • You will directly work with production team on implement and design code and build out to production using various machine learning, imaging and LLM techniques, owning machine learning modeling
  • You will play an integral role of building out the AI team and scaling out its product
  • Act as a thought leader role for AI across the business, mentoring junior team members

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful Senior Computer Vision Scientist will likely have the following skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of commercial experience preferred with a focus on applied machine learning and computer vision research, building production-grade models with NLP and LLMs ideally with voice, image and multi-modal systems
  • Experience working in a scaling startup is preferred
  • Expertise in Python (TensorFlow, PyTorch) for production-grade work
  • Commercial experience building novel AI platforms with large datasets
  • History of working with and managing real-time AI applications in production settings
  • Cloud experience in AWS, Azure or GCP
  • DevOps exposure with CI/CD pipelines preferred
  • History of working on models from concept to production / end-to-end / 0-1
  • Applied research background in a commercial setting required
  • Publication and/or patent history highly preferred
  • Experience in settings wearing multiple hats
  • Domain experience in healthcare, health-tech, med-tech or similar a plus; EHR, EMR, claims, HEOR or other medical data exposure highly preferred
  • History of partnering with non-technical stakeholders required
  • Experience owning projects
  • PhD degree in Medical Imaging, Computer Science, Biomedical Imaging or similar

THE BENEFITS

Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Computer Vision Engineer to join our team on-site in Danvers, MA. The role involves designing and implementing cutting-edge computer vision algorithms to enhance virtual tours and automated rental solutions. Responsibilities include developing 3D spatial reconstruction technics, pattern recognition models, utilizing computer vision techniques, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and integrating vision systems into our rental platform. The engineer will also work on performance optimization and ensure seamless integration of these technologies with the platform’s functionalities.


Qualifications

  • Strong experience with SLAM, Structure from Motion (SfM) and camera pose estimation
  • Strong experience with 3D Gaussian Splatting and surface reconstruction
  • Proficiency in Python and C/C++
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing computer vision algorithms (segmentation, object detection, classification, tracking)
  • Familiarity with deep learning models and their deployment
  • Solid understanding of multi-view geometry
  • Proficiency in OpenCV, and either PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Proficiency with modern graphics libraries such as OpenGL, Metal, Vulkan, DirectX
  • Experience working with 3D point clouds, mesh generation, and libraries such as Open3D, Trimesh, or PCL
  • Familiarity with 3D reconstruction pipelines (e.g., COLMAP, NerfStudio, Photogrammetry tools)
  • Experience working with multi-modal sensors: GPS, LiDAR, stereo/depth cameras, IMUs
  • Proficient in path planning algorithms (both global and local)
  • Strong knowledge of coordinate frames, and camera calibration
