Summary:
The Medical Laboratory Scientist 2 is responsible for performing all assigned laboratory testing and reporting for the testing area. This position requires teamwork to achieve common goals and meet deadlines to provide quality care to clients and patients. Demonstrates proficiency in identifying and resolving process issues that affect the laboratory's ability to perform laboratory testing. •Bachelor's degree in laboratory science, biological science, chemistry, or education/work experience meeting the qualifications of high complexity testing personnel as defined by CLIA 42 CFR 493 1489.Additionally, must have certification, and a minimum of 24 contiguous months of high- complexity clinical laboratory experience required. In lieu of a Bachelors, then an Associate’s degree and/or education/work experience meeting the qualifications of high complexity testing personnel as defined by CLIA 42 CFR 493 1489 must be provided; and with MLT or other certification; and 7 contiguous years of high-complexity clinical laboratory

Responsibilities:

Acts as a resource for identifying and solving quality control issues and escalating these when appropriate.

•Required to perform the duties of the tech-in-charge for specified periods. Oversees operations according to departmental guidelines. Understands when to defer issues to appropriate personnel, for example, a supervisor or director, and does so.
•Reviews lab results as required and takes appropriate action before verification and release. Recognizes and calls critical results within defined time frames. Reviews paper-generated results and transcribes them accurately into the Lab Information System.

About the position:
The Quality Lab Sensory Analyst position at Givaudan involves evaluating flavoring products and incoming ingredients through sensory evaluations and basic physical-chemical. Under general supervision, the analyst will identify and document non-conforming products, applying simple corrections as necessary. The role requires performing basic equipment calibrations and supporting various laboratory functions as directed. The analyst will enter test results into the computer system, SAP, leading to either approval or rejection of products based on the evaluations conducted. In addition to the core responsibilities, the analyst will support miscellaneous lab functions, which may include pre-shipment sample processing, filing retain samples, maintaining lab supplies, and disposing of liquid hazardous waste.

The role also involves identifying out-of-specification results and applying simple corrections, as well as documenting and communicating non-conformances to higher-level quality personnel and operations as needed. The analyst will analyze and collect data for investigations and must work in accordance with all relevant requirements, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), American Institute of Baking (AIB), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and internal safety guidelines. Participation in site training sessions and improvement projects related to quality, food safety, safety, problem-solving, lean manufacturing, and 5S is also expected. The position requires excellent attendance, flexibility, enthusiasm, and a positive approach to teamwork.

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Responsible for all aspects of food safety and quality as defined by plant and department procedures.
• Collect, analyze, and evaluate samples from each step of yogurt production and approve for use in production or distribution using various test equipment, test procedures, and methodology.
• Hold product based on specifications and product knowledge.
• Monitor and approve production equipment sanitation, start-up, and performance using control devices and tests.

• Actively participates and scrubs into Cath Lab cases to assist with the movement and alignment of equipment as while as the control of radiation throughout procedures.
• Provides care for the physical needs of patients by executing various Radiologic concepts to maximize performance. This includes: positioning, physiology, procedure preparation, and technical factors. Modifies technical factors to achieve desired imaging results and recognizes complications / limitations associated with certain procedures. This position performs routine testing on all samples in the Analytical Services laboratory, providing analytical data for process control, quality control, process development, product development, and waste management. Employee will be required to work eight hours shifts, and rotating days within shift every three to four months. KC Quality Control lab is a 24 hours production site that operates on three shifts.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform all analytical tests to properly evaluate each product provided to the laboratory. Testing to include, but is not limited to Fat, Moisture, Calcium, Salt, Protein.
• Sample and provide assistance to have samples tested, when required, at an outside lab for chemistry and microbiology. Provide all analytical data results to Lab Manager and or/Project Manager in an organized and clear format. Carry out daily, weekly and monthly cleaning of analytical equipment and laboratory area. Monitor chemical reagents and notify Lab Manager when supplies are running low.
• Work closely with laboratory staff.
• Provide technical assistance as needed for Aware of and practice Plant's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as well as Good Sanitation Practices (GSP).

Compensation and Benefits:

The Company reasonably expects to pay a base draw in the range of $80,000–$175,000 annually. This base draw range excludes commissions and other incentive compensation and reflects differences in experience level, existing customer relationships, and sales performance expectations within the assigned territory. The draw is non-recoverable during the initial training period. After training, the draw may be reconciled against future earned commissions in accordance with the Company’s Sales Incentive Plan.

This range represents the company’s good-faith estimate of the base draw compensation that may be offered at the time of hire and is based on factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education, training, licensure or certifications, internal equity, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
