Job Summary

* Interprets customer specifications to define requirements for mechanical designs.

Minimum Requirements

* Experience in medical equipment / device design with experience in electromechanical, electro- pneumatic, and/or blood pumping equipment development.
* Knowledge in medical device industry regulations and practices - ISO 13485, ISO 7198 & GMP.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, MS Office applications, and Adobe Acrobat.
* Experience with Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Design for Manufacturability and Assembly, DFM&A (cost/tooling/process considerations), preferably using SolidWorks CAD software.
* Understanding in design and development of injection molded plastic, plastic extrusion, casting, sheet metal, metal stampings, additive manufacturing processes, and machined metal components, and assemblies with high part counts highly desirable.
* Knowledge of mechanical design and development using metric ANSI/ISO dimensioning and drafting standards highly desirable.
* Understanding of GD&T, mechanical measurement and testing equip., and statistical analysis of test data.
* Experience with electronic document control systems in medical device and/or medical equipment design and development.
* Highly skilled at analytical reasoning, mechanism design, creative problem solving, and mathematical analysis.
* Ability to create and meet scheduled timelines (manage and coordinate tasks as required).

Job Summary
Administers the nursing program in a long term care facility to maintain standards of resident care. Facilitates the optimization of the geriatric care process to improve the quality and efficiency of service. Responsible for the overall quality of care provided by the organization's nursing personnel. Advises medical staff, department heads, and administrators in matters related to nursing service and strategies. This role has a larger size, scope, or complexity. Interprets policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups. Monitors the operations of the nursing staff and ensures compliance with regulations on organizational and governmental standards and practices. Schedules staff and conducts employee performance reviews. Provides nursing care to residents on an as needed basis. Includes quality of resident care, program/care management, environmental safety, budget constraints and responding to identified needs to ensure regulatory compliance. Effectively manages and directs the work of individuals or teams.
Maintains communication and addresses the rapidly changing healthcare environment in which clinical services are delivered across the system. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in nursing required.

Spaulding Hospital Cambridge is a 180-bed long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) and part of the nationally recognized Spaulding Rehabilitation and Mass General Brigham system. Located in the heart of Cambridge, we provide high-acuity medical and rehabilitative care to medically complex patients recovering from critical illness, neurologic injury, and prolonged hospitalization.
Position Summary :
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hospitalist to join our interdisciplinary inpatient care team. This is a community-based, non-academic role focused on clinical excellence in a collaborative environment. The hospitalist will manage a panel of medically fragile patients with support from physical medicine & rehabilitation physicians, nursing, pharmacy, therapy, case management, and specialty consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as attending physician for medically complex and post-acute rehab inpatients
- Conduct daily rounds and manage care for a typical panel of 10–14 patients per day
- Complete admissions, discharge summaries, H&Ps, and progress notes
- Respond to RRT activations and medical codes during shifts as assigned
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on care planning and discharge readiness
Schedule & Coverage:
- Monday–Friday, no nights or weekends
- No overnight shifts; nocturnist coverage in place
- Ability to sign up for moonlighting shifts (nights or weekends) as available.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO, Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Eligible for Massachusetts licensure
- Inpatient experience preferred, comfort with medically complex, post-ICU patients
- Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred
- Strong communication skills and commitment to interdisciplinary care
