Field Service Technician - Job Description READ IN FULL- schedule is at the end of the remaining sites needed. The more sites you can do the better! Project Overview: TEKsystems is deploying a project team to manage the clients Point of Commerce (POC) Deployment, which involves replacing approximately 12,000 Verifone MX925 PIN pad devices with new Verifone M450 units across 1,153 stores nationwide. This large-scale deployment will run from March to April 2026, with all installation work completed by April 30, 2026. We are seeking two Field Service Technicians per market to work as a team, completing PIN pad installations at Kohls retail locations. Each team will be responsible for all scheduled sites in their assigned market. There are approximately 7-10 pin pads per site and it is expected to take 30-35mins per device. Ensure all cables are securely connected and functional. - Maintain cable hygiene: conceal routing, remove excess slack, eliminate trip hazards, and use approved cable management materials. - Conduct testing and verification with the Manager on Duty (MOD). - Perform successful test transactions at each register. - Complete Kohls PIN Pad Verification Form for each register. - Schedule & Commitment: - Each site requires two visits (dates provided in your market schedule). - 1-2 sites per day, approximately 4-8 hours per day. - Hours: 8:45 AM start time, Monday-Friday, normal business hours. - 4-hour minimum guarantee per scheduled workday. - Some markets may have gaps between site visits - we prefer to maintain the same team throughout. Required Qualifications: - 1-2 years of PC technician experience (Level 2 Intermediate). - Installation, support, and troubleshooting skills. - Willingness to drive between site locations. - Preferred Skills: - Cable management experience. - Dress Code: - Business casual - jeans or khakis with no holes, clean/professional polo-style shirt (no t-shirts). Compensation & Travel: - Pay Rate: $25/hour. - No overtime expected (if required, must be pre-approved at 1.5x rate). - 4-hour minimum guarantee per scheduled workday. - Reimbursed at government rate for travel over 50 miles each direction (starting at 100 miles total). Time and mileage between sites paid without deduction. - Sites Needed: Each site location will have 2 technicians onsite.
