Specialist, Child Development Education (CDE)
Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid – 2 days onsite / 3 days remote)
$20–$23 per hour (DOE + education) + Benefits
Full-Time | 37.5 hours per week

Position Overview
Pathways LA is seeking a Specialist, Child Development Education (CDE) to support the implementation of our Child Development Education programs, including Stage 2, Stage 3, Alternative Payment, and the Berendo Program.
This role focuses on case management for families, collaboration with child care providers, and program administration, helping ensure families have access to quality child care and the resources they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Manage casework for participating families within CDE programs
Work closely with participating child care providers
Support the administration of Stage 2, Stage 3, Alternative Payment, and Berendo programs
Assist with program documentation and compliance requirements
Support some fiscal and program reporting functions
Provide excellent customer service to families and community partners
Participate in occasional evening or weekend activities and travel as needed
Qualifications
BA in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field preferred
Minimum 2 years of professional child development experience
Experience with Resource & Referral (R&R) or Alternative Payment Programs preferred
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds
Strong communication and presentation skills
High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and client database systems
Experience with Windows-based systems; network experience a plus
Valid California driver’s license, access to a motor vehicle, and proof of auto insurance required
Additional Information
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Hybrid schedule: 2 days onsite / 3 days remote
Some travel, evenings, and weekend work may be required
