HRIS Project Manager
Job Description
A leading company is seeking an HRIS Project Manager to lead HR system integration projects. The ideal candidate is an experienced project manager with strong Workday integration expertise. Working cross-functionally, the new leader will deliver integration solutions by coordinating teams and managing project delivery while ensuring data accuracy and alignment with business processes.
Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Contract (Expected through EOY)
Pay: $58-62/hr
Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert on Workday integrations, providing technical direction and guidance to the team.
- Project Oversight: Lead the integration workstream for North America starting with implementation, managing project plans, timelines, and resources.
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with functional and technical teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to define integration requirements for the region and propose design solutions.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Oversee the testing, troubleshooting, and defect resolution process to ensure integrations function correctly and efficiently.
- Data Management: Ensure data integrity, security, and consistency across integrated systems.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with various teams, including business owners, IT, project managers, and external vendors.
- Documentation & Best Practices: Maintain technical specifications, best practices, and integration documentation, and provide knowledge transfer to internal resources.
- Communication Plan: coordinate with regional and global communication and change teams to deploy information and updates to key stakeholders and users within region.
- Training: coordinate with global and regional L&D teams for deployment of system and process training in region.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience involved with HRIS integrations.
- Workday Integration Technologies: Deep knowledge of PECI, Workday studio and overall Workday connectors for HCM, Recruiting and payroll, integration document delivery (SFTP delivery), configuration of IS, external payroll earnings including time off and time tracking
- Technical Acumen: Strong knowledge of cloud computing, web services, APIs, and related integration challenges.
- Project Management: Ability to manage project lifecycles, track progress, monitor deadlines, and report on project status within challenging timelines and a remote project team
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders and effectively communicate technical information
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex integration issues
- Business Acumen: Broad understanding of business processes, especially in HR (payroll, time recording, absence management) and Finance, to align integrations with organizational goals
