The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Real Time Software Engineer to join the F/A-18 Mission Systems organization located in Berkeley, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to join the F/A-18 Mission Systems software team and support various capabilities within the Vehicle Health Management team.

Position Responsibilities:

• Leads the design, development, tests, and maintenance of embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards

• Reviews, analyzes, and translates customer requirements into initial design of software products. Develops, maintains, enhances and optimizes software products and functionalities for systems integrations

• Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products

• Debugs and leads resolution of issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products. Handles user inquiries, troubleshoots technical issues and user feedback analysis

• Leads handling of user inquiries, troubleshooting technical issues and user feedback analysis.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

Required Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• 4+ years’ experience with hands on experience writing C++ software for integration with real-time embedded systems

• 4+ years’ experience with Vehicle Health Management experience

• 4+ years’ experience of training, mentoring, advising junior software engineers across entire lifecycle of software development

• 4+ years’ experience working on a project where various software development methodologies are being utilized

• Demonstrated expertise leading complex projects across multiple teams of engineers.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Position Responsibilities:

• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) implementation of ground systems design artifacts, including requirements, verification/test procedures, interfaces, behaviors, and architecture

The Assurance Experienced Senior will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day "in-charge" duties of planning, fieldwork, and "wrap-up" to include the preparing of financial statements with disclosures, applying most areas of GAAP as necessary and documenting, validating, testing, and assessing various control systems. Our team in the Elowitz Lab at Caltech/HHMI is engineering therapeutic protein circuits, a new cancer-treatment modality at the intersection of synthetic biology and oncology. We're looking for an in vivo oncology scientist (Senior Research Assistant to Senior Associate Scientist) to help expand and run the program's translational in vivo engine. The role starts in an academic setting, with the option to transition into an early-stage startup in 2027.

Why therapeutic circuits?

Cancer therapies face a fundamental trade-off between effectiveness and precision, driving off-target toxicity, recurrence, and resistance. Therapeutic protein circuits address this by directly rewiring oncogenic mutations to cell death. Delivered as mRNA in lipid nanoparticles, these engineered proteins can distinguish cancer from normal cells and have shown tumor suppression in vivo. By design, these circuits "sense and kill" rather than inhibit. This mechanism makes them independent of oncogene addiction and less susceptible to resistance than most targeted therapies, potentially enabling a new generation of highly potent and specific cancer medicines.

We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer:

As a Senior Java Engineer, you will work with lead-level and fellow senior-level engineers to architect and implement solutions that enable customers to get the most out of what the client can offer. In this role, you will develop performant and robust Java applications while supplying the continued evaluation and advancement of web technologies in the organization.

What you bring to the table:

• 5+ years of Java development within an enterprise-level domain
• Java 8 (11 preferred) features like lambda expressions, Stream API, CompletableFuture, etc.
• Skilled with low-latency, high volume application development
• Team will need expertise in CI/CD, and shift left testing
• Nice to have Golang and/or Rust
• Experienced with asynchronous programming, multithreading, implementing APIs, and Microservices, including Spring Boot
• Proficiency with SQL
• Experience with data sourcing, data modeling and data enrichment
• Experience with Systems Design & CI/CD pipelines
• Cloud computing, preferably AWS
• Solid verbal and written communication and consultant/client-facing skills are a must. As a true consultant, you are a self-starter who takes initiative.
• Solid experience with at least two (preferably more) of the following:
• Kafka (Core Concepts, Replication & Reliability, Kafka Internals, Infrastructure & Control, Data Retention and Durability)
• MongoDB
• Sonar
• Jenkins
• Oracle DB, Sybase IQ, DB2
• Drools or any rules engine experience
• CMS tools like Adobe AEM
• Search tools like Algolia, ElasticSearch or Solr
• Spark

Core Technical Skills (Must Have)

• Java (5+ years enterprise experience) – Strong expertise in Java 8/11 features (Streams, Lambda, CompletableFuture, Multithreading)
• Spring Framework / Spring Boot – Microservices, REST APIs, dependency injection
• Git – Version control and collaborative development workflows
• Kibana – Log monitoring, observability, troubleshooting production systems
• Bash – Shell scripting, automation, deployment support

What makes you stand out from the pack:

• Payments or Asset/Wealth Management experience
• Mature server development and knowledge of frameworks, preferably Spring
• Enterprise experience working and building enterprise products, long term tenure at enterprise-level organizations, experience working with a remote team, and being an avid practitioner in their craft
• You have pushed code into production and have deployed multiple products to market, but are missing the visibility of a small team within a large enterprise technology environment.
• You enjoy coaching junior engineers, but want to remain hands-on with code.
• Open to work hybrid - 3 days per week from office

Senior SCADA Engineer

We are a Houston-based manufacturing and energy company seeking a Senior SCADA Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and support of VTSCADA and real-time operational systems for distributed energy assets.

We are seeking a Senior SCADA Engineer to lead the design, implementation, integration, and administration of VTSCADA and real-time operational systems supporting distributed energy assets. This role combines technical leadership, system ownership, and team guidance to design scalable SCADA architecture that ensures reliability, reduces downtime, and supports fleet growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• SCADA Architecture & System Ownership: Lead SCADA system design, development, and maintenance; set standards for telemetry, alarms, and data integrity; provide technical oversight and serve as escalation authority; ensure compliance with cybersecurity and operational standards.
• Grid & Utility Integrations: Design ICCP integrations and telemetry models for utility and market participation; ensure secure, reliable data flow with external entities.
• Real-Time SCADA Operations: Oversee engineering, commissioning, and operational support for SCADA systems; maintain uptime and performance; review site SCADA designs and configurations; support system upgrades and enhancements; collaborate with IT and Operations for secure infrastructure.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive automation, tooling, and database improvements; strengthen change management and governance processes; enhance system reliability and operational performance.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or related Engineering/Science field (or equivalent experience)
• 7+ years SCADA engineering experience (VTSCADA, Siemens, Emerson, or similar) in energy or utility environments
• 5+ years supporting real-time operational systems
• Hands-on ICCP/utility data exchange experience (ERCOT, RTOs, ISOs)
• Experience with Autosol ACM or similar utility-grade SCADA platforms
• Strong understanding of grid operations, telemetry architecture, and distributed energy/microgrid systems
• Proficiency with distributed systems, Windows servers, networking, cybersecurity, and relational databases (e.g., MS SQL)
• Experience leading technical projects, mentoring engineers, and establishing governance standards
• Demonstrated track record improving system reliability, reducing operational risk, and enhancing real-time system performance
